Oh, and just to be completely flippant (now that you are not in so much trouble) how about hiring your husband out as one of those singing strip-o-grams?;)

I remember you saying that you were using just a couple of sheets of toilet paper to save money, and I was very impressed!! But after reading this thread it would seem that was extravagant! I particularly liked the rhyme below.

What amazes me as I try and perfect my Scrooge ways, is that no matter how tight I become, there is a huge swathe of people who can do it even cheaper.

    Keep up the great work.

think I know the answer to this one.

When I was at school, long ago, we had this little rhyme:

In days of old, when knights were bold
    And toilet rolls weren't invented,
    You wiped your *rse
    On a blade of grass
    And walked away contented. :rotfl:

A few years ago they did a 'life in Iron Age Britain' program, where due to the odd diet they frequently got the trots. They had a little privy and apparently used whatever greenery they could grab. One night someone grabbed....a handful of nettles

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
