I've decided the next time I go to Asda I'm buying a washing up bowl SPECIFICALLY for washing up, it will save hot water as I won't be filling the sink up with as much hot water.

    Hi

Don't do what I did - bought one that was TOO BIG for my sink - too high, really - it would fit in the sink but tipping out was an art form - only I could do it without spilling so guess who had to use it...

I have bought a smaller one now!

Measure - length, width and depth!;)

Have one boy home from school today - he has a titchy tummy, so I'm trying to stay away from him LOL

Hi Denise - read your post in Flyweeks I was just reading - but you weren't in last week on my first week flying - so nice to 'meet' you!

What's a titchy tummy (over here titchy means little - so I'm wishing I had one!)

OIh well looks like I must have missed it. No point in statting it now ;)

Welcome to all the new flybabies. Please don't think that we are all great. Especially not mudbath she just says she is.:p

I think that many of us just find have a list and being able to feel that anything is an achievement helps. Let's face it if I DH came home tonight and I told him I had done the DW, WM, TD mowed the lawn, wiped the work surfaces, cleaned all the small appliances etc he would just say "And?"

Have to say I love it when i am motivated I get so much done but there are times when i get very little done. Although i do try and do my dailies, such as, put a load of washing on sort out the dishwasher etc.

    Morning FBB

Awwww don't feel to down. We're not all super organised. You should have seen the list I posted on Saturday morning. It was the entire weeks worth of flying. And no I never did get to the end of it. But then all the rooms come around again this week so you just sort of start where you finished off really. After just 2 or 3 weeks of following this thread and doing what you can will make the world of difference though. It's amazing how much easier it becomes.

My youngest DD(5) started school last September and it's only since then that my house has resembled anything like tidy. Plus I've realised since being on this thread and reading about other Mum's with little ones why I never used to get much done when my older 3 were little.

Remember it's not a competition the lists are just suggestions to help everyone try and be a bit more organised. Plus we all have bad days and are here to support each other and encourage where needed.

I have to echo that TAG having read posts and threads for a week or two I took the plunge last week and joined in - as I'm 'off' work (in commas because there are work tasks to do) I would find it so easy to put things off - then when it's back to school I would wonder where the time had gone - and know, to my shame, that I had wasted it and got nothing done. Once I am really up and running I have a room to decorate and the freezer needs defrosting - so I'm trying to run it down. As for the jam making - bit of a hobby of mine, that, like other people craft. The peg thing - I hope that no-one is taking me seriously here but I think you aren't - my pegs match because almost all of them are the same - and I use the wooden spring ones in the freezer to clip bags shut (plastic ones shatter they can't cope with the cold!). The time to worry about pegs will be when Pigpen changes her name to Pegpen and starts to feature them in post No. 1!;)
The motivation - support - and laughter generated by this site has been brill! I'd like to think, in my own humble way, I've made a few of you laugh too.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

On a more serious note though - keep off the subject of the night getting longer! Leave that to Terry Wogan please;) :rotfl:

    Happy, and productive flying ladies!

Have to admit I am just really impressed wen i actually get round to hanging my washing outside. then I am impressed again if I manage to bring it in again without it needing to be washed again.

Also have to admit to doing a little cross stitch this morning, haven't done it for ages. Did say to DH i would try and do some HM rolls for him. Anyone got any good tips etc. I plan on freezing them so DH can have sandwiches for work.

I only started to do HM bread last month and this only happens if I feel in the mood or the children are arguing with each other and I need a break ;)

All the talk of days getting shorter has made me smile. When I worked in an Old People's Home there was a lady who came out with a real gem. Every 'longest day' (is it 21 June) she would say - 'Ahh, the nights are fair drawin' in'.

As the children hadn't even broken up for the Summer hols (Scotland) - it used to drive me mad!!

I must admit - I don't mind the dark nights - as long as I am nice and cosy inside!!
