So no cooking for me today:j . Just finishing my tea as had a slow start this morning, then will bung some washing on and jump in the shower. Need to get DS up soon as he has footie training this morning.
Not sure what the weather is doing, no sun at the moment and has been raining - think will go and check the forcast.

am on pigeon duty this morning till DH gets home from work as they are racing today - home from Wincanton - and I may have to clock them in. He reckons it should take them an hour and three quarters. Not sure how many miles it is.
Got lots of paperwork to do but may leave that till Monday .
Got the first loas in the machine - got DS1s washing to do. He has handed his notice in and starts a new job on Monday - less money but he really wasn't happy where he was and this job is with his old company that has now restarted again so he will be working with people he likes .
I dont mind what he does as long as he's happy.
Its our local agricultural show today - dont think I'll go though as its quite expensive. It was flooded out last year.
hope you all have a great weekend
PenPen - hope you enjoy your holiday!Do what you love :happyhear0 -

It means I can stay in the garden for more than 10 mins without burning
Bedding is in the WM, and some clothes are soaking in the sink. Not sure what I'm doing today, mr troo has the weekend off. He'll probably be in bed til lunchtime so at least I'll have the morning to myself lol.

            Morning peeps
Happy Birthday Pink !! :bdaycake: have a fantastic day.
Have a wonderful holiday PenPen!
Well the weather looks as if it can`t decide what to do yet but i do hope it will stay dry, i`ve lots of washing to hang out and it`s still damp and cloudy. We seem to have had a good bit of rain in the night.
DH has left for w*rk scrabbling around for things at the last minute as usual, i`m sure that he will have missed his usual bus. It was going to be his day off today and it would have been nice to spend the same day off together but a friend at w*rk can only get there by car and it`s broken so DH has arranged some kind of swap so that the other guy can get his car fixed.
I need to put a bay window curtain pole up today, it`s one of those bendy at the corner type ones and i`m not sure if this is something that i can manage on my own or not as it`s quite heavy too, i shall have a look later and then decide. I have 2 joints of meat to cook and a shepherds pie to make today so will probably be in the kitchen quite a bit too.
Anniestar - your trip sounds lovely, glad you had a good time.
Sister_cas - nice to hear that your cat is ok.
Catowen - sorry to hear about the lo`s hope that you find some more soon.
RedRuby - Congratulations to your DH on passing his driving test.
MoanyMoany - Have a good time with your son, i feel quite excited for you reading your post, i can imagine you bouncing off the walls
Big ((((HUGS)))) to all in need today.
Well it`s time i got off my backside and started the hw.
Have a good Saturday everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

I have a big knot in my stomach but go she must and she's dead excited. i've checked that I've checked that I've checked her documents. I'm ussually banned from airprts as i make people unpack and repack to check that they've checked but as she's going unnacompanied I must be there.

) and we're having a treat of Burger King for tea
Need to make a loaf of bread - should be interesting without scales :rotfl:

Happy Birthday Pink Winged!! Also happy birthday to Aussie Lad!! Hope you both have a great day!

The clouds are out here. It's overcast and a little cooler than it has been, which is making me want to do a bit of cleaning. I've already cleaned out one of my kitchen cupboards and unearthed half a packet of red split lentils I'd forgotten I had. Trouble is, the OH doesn't like them at all, so I need to find a friend that knows how to cook with them so I can swap them. It'll be a day of bimbling and cleaning, and in a little while I'll have to find my outfit for tonight.
... that'll be a laugh ...
I have to dress up in a mini skirt and boots, and be a 60s model for my friends' murder mystery hen party. The OH has to be a loud-mouthed actor and raconteur - needless to say, tonight is going to be a bit of a giggle.
OS things to do on my list today:
* split one of the packs of offcut bacon into chunks we'll use in one go
* look at things I can make food-wise for our wedding reception
* cleaning (joy!)
* making draught excluders for winter
Have a nice holiday, PenPen, and have a great day everyone! ((((hugs lots))) from general excitement and especially to those in need.Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -
            Morning
:bdaycake: Pink, have a great day
W*rk today, I don't usually mind as I love going, but today I just don't feel like it
Bright day here, so will peg some washing out before I go, and hope that DH fetches it in if it rains
Indian takeaway for tonight, I suppose it's asking too much to hope that there's a good film on to watch
Have a good Saturday everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever
