Gday from Perth WA!!!
Have a lovely birthday Pink!
I've managed to pop on my neice's PC and I'd forgotten about the time difference as it's around 1pm here down under.
I hope everyone is happy and healthy and hugs to those who are not.
I've been pretty busy since landing here on 24th but it's been 'holiday busy' and not 'housework busy'.
We spent last week in Monkey Mia http://www.monkeymia.com.au/site/
which is 900km North of Perth and the girls got to feed the wild dolphins. It was just like paradise.:D The weather there was nice but it's quite unpredictable here in Perth. A mixture of sun, wind and rain! (It's Winter here).
All of the others have gone out to watch my nephew, brother and DH play football and I'm in charge of the laundry today  . I didn't really want to go out and I'm enjoying having the place to myself
We went to a local Irish pub for a lovely meal last night and we're off to a friend's 40th birthday party tonight. We're going to have a wander around Perth next week and then we're off to Sydney for a week where we'll be meeting up with some friends.
Don't even want to think about the budget
and will have to go back to some serious money saving on our return!:rotfl:
Have a good day!

PenPen - you little devil, you! Have a great time!
Happy Birthday to Pink - Have a really fantastic birthday!:bdaycake:
Happy 28th to AussieLad!:bdaycake:
Well, I was surprised to see that the thread had already started for today - PenPen is very naughty but I can't blame her!
(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Chrisca, Jayward, Candygirl's Dad, Essex-girl's Dad, Beth and her DBs and all in need.
We have very fine rain here at the moment and it's a little cool. I'm wondering whether I should start checking the forecast for Friday (DS2's wedding - in case I hadn't mentioned it before:rolleyes: :T !!). I hope it will be nice, obviously, but we shall cope if it isn't. DH is looking forward to driving the bridesmaids to the wedding (they range in age from 19 to 24 but I have warned him they'll think he's an old man so not to get too excited! Still, it will do his street cred some good!). DGD 5yo is also a bridesmaid but she won't be getting ready with the bigger girls; DH will collect her on the way to church. I wasn't sure whether to wear a hat to the wedding but I found one of mine the other day and DH said 'oh, I love you in that' so that's decided. I just need to trim it with some hot pink ribbon. I am getting so excited about the wedding now (can't you tell?) but also panicky in case something has been overlooked. I am sure the wedding favours will be done by the end of this weekend but I've done most of the work in the spare bedroom that my Mum will be staying in so that now needs a good clean up. I also have a BIL coming from France and then there's my sis, her DH and son - I need to find out if they are bringing their caravan; they can put it on our drive. I don't think I can squeeze many more people into the house! None of them live locally but they can't all afford to stay in a hotel so I want to house as many as I can, plus I don't want my Mum going back on her own to a hotel after the wedding even though she said she doesn't mind. It doesn't seem right!
Well, we have carbonara for dinner tonight and the rest of a ys cheesecake I found yesterday for pudding. DH is working for most of the day laying some Caber flooring for someone so that gives me a bit more time to get things done. Tomorrow he wants to give my car a really good clean because it will be the bridesmaids' car on Friday - I shall be too scared to use it afterwards but I don't think he'll get the time later in the week and he doesn't trust me to get it as clean as he does!
Anyway, I've mioliered again; I'm going to do a bit more surfing then go and have a shower.
Hope everyone has a great day!

My son arrives back from Australia today - after four years away!!!!!!
He won the Raw Comedy competition in Australia and is taking part in the Edinburg Festival, the flight was part of the prize.
He and his girlfriend arrive at Heathrow at 3.35pm and we will be there. I've got a nice bit of brisket to cook in the slow cooker. I've just got to work out if it cooks on auto, low or high and I'm away.
I can't sleep but I'm so tired - aaaaah!!!!! He's going to see a lot of difference in us, the past four years have been very difficult for us and boy have I aged! Still he'll be able to say goodbye to his grandma as she is in the spare bedroom!
I'm so excited, it's like Christmas day, I still find sleep hard on Christmas Eve, what a baby!0 -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PINK :bdaycake:
AND YOU AUSSIELAD _party_ _party_ _party_ have a great day both of you.
Enjoy your holiday PenPen:cool:
moanymoany O how exciting, no wonder you cant sleep:j
Well it looks like mowing the grass is the order of the day today then seems as though everybody has the same idea, well almost everybody,I`ll get OH to do ours:rolleyes:
Off for a shower in a bit OH is still snoring away, mmm on second thoughts I think i`ll have some toast first, for some reason I am starving this morning, wonder if its because it`s gone a bit cooler. Looks like rain as well , ah well saves watering the pots;)
Off to both mum`s later, then over to see my friend whose husband died a few weeks ago, and her mum died suddenly 2 wks ago, she seems a bit lost, I txt, ring or just pop over when I can, or when she wants me to. She is off to her caravan in Devon soon with her family to scatter his ashes, it`s what he wanted, because he loved it so much down there, and she is quiet happy to do it for him.
Well I am off to do my toast now, I bet OH wakes up as soon as I put the toaster on:rotfl:
Have a good day all
Back later
Anne

Good to hear from you, Busy Girl, sounds like you are having a great time!
Moanymoany - I can feel your excitement! Four years - I nearly went mad when my DS1 spent almost a year working in Zambia designing a computerised irrigation system for a sugar plantation! I don't think I breathed properly the whole time he was away! Your DS must be very talented. Good luck to him; you'll have tell us when we can get to seem him on the TV! I'm sure you'll have an emotional day today!
Pippa - (((hugs))) to your poor friend. What a sad time she is having.

Hope you have a wonderful day xxx0 -
Happy birthday Pink! :bdaycake:
For the first time all week my monster is still in bed. We have my partner's girls staying and they're all in the same room....so the extra people wake her up. Its odd to be sitting here without her screaching around.
Towels are on the line. Darks are in the washing machine at the moment....and I have a colours and whites pile upstairs ready too. Don't know if they'll get in though. Depends how I feel.
Just got rid of partner and crew (minus monster)...they're off to a local warehouse that's closing down today to try and find some bargains. We were making a list last night. Chances are they won't find anything...but I can dream.
Tea tonight is good and simple...pizza, garlic bread, salad. Just have to get a lettuce and some celery to do the salad bit. I have even got Sundays' and mondays' tea thought of too. Its not often I'm that organised.
Tomorrow we're going off to the seaside so it'll be lots of fun and games.
Hugs to all that need them.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -
Well my plans didn't eventuate. I didn't sew thanks to Pink
but I won't rouse on her seeing as she's a senior citizen now.
I also didn't mow . We went down to give OS his present. He was making mud pies with DGS.
I'm not sure who was having the best time.
It was such a lovely sunny day we went for a long walk on the beach and then when we got home took a seat and plonked myself downstairs and watch DH work.
Most entertaining.
Ruby Congratulations on DH getting his driver's license.
Busygirl Glad your enjoying your holiday. I was wondering if you had booked with Qantas.
MoanyMoany Enjoy. What a great prize.
Chat later. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Morning all
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PINK AND MR AUSSIELAD  .
Squiggly sorry to hear your sad news.
Kaat glad you are feeling brighter.
I'm going to be a mother-in-law, DSS proposed to his GF on one knee in front of a roomful of people and they're getting married. Am so chuffed for him, he's been through some really hard times.
Didn't get much sleep last night, we got back at 11.30 then I couldn't switch off. OH was also snoring very loudly as he'd been on the beer. That Paul Mckenna is really weird. There was a buffet at the party, usually I'd be trawling through it but I didn't, just had a few bits and pieces. I really hope this works for me, have tried everything else and have been trying to lose 2 stone for years now.
BIG HUGS FOR ALL WHO NEED ONE TODAY, CANDYGIRL HOPE THE TRANSFUSION WENT OK.
Think we will have a pottering day today as DS was so late to bed. Off for a run. Have a good day all.
