Thanks Taxi - that's a really good idea and I'll start thinking about that and ask my mum if I've missed anything as well
Going to try to use the sol as little as possible due to the cost!!
Hey BOB - how are you?
I've cheered myself up slightly by non-top eating of potato products - chips, potato croquettes, crisps, you name it!!
So sorted a few things today - started off the washing from when William wet the bed, given him a good bath and even did his hair (shockingly flakey scalp!). We've all had lunch and now will go do some painting shortly- I'm going to have a go at a mini-book made out of old CDs (from ukscrappers.co.uk challenge for today!). Should be nice.

I am well if slightly cream crackered..i am in awe of all this inventiveness, i think i will have a look on that website. I bet the children have had a great day.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi all
Still not feeling quite myself again but hopefully will do soon.
Got to take DS to the health visitor this morning - his willy has gone really red but he says it doesn't hurt...sorry for TMI!! I have no knowledge about these things (well, I wouldn't, would I?!!) and his dad is useless, so hopefully the HV will reassure me. I'll get them both weighed and measured while i'm there too.
I've covered my CDs now, and just need to add descriptions and embellishments to the pages - it's very sturdy, being made of CDs and I ended up covering them with paper, as I thought the paint looked a bit rubbish. The mini book is on DD's first month!
Got the solicitors app tomorrow, which is good, got a few questions written down, but need to finish that off today.
Hope you are all well. BOB- def check out the website - it's brilliant!

You could be right Jinky! I also used to find drinking lots of water for it would help...my son used to get this when he was teething!
Good luck at the solicitors, i am sure the next steps will be very hard, but a positive step for you.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I agree it sounds like thrush, but it could also be some sort of bacterial infection, so may need antibiotics.
Sorry oh is being a fool, but just make sure you diarise all the stupidity so that you have it as evidence later.
Hope the solicitor puts your mind at rest
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hi all
The redness has gone right down and the HV said there seemed nothing wrong, but to keep an eye on it. It does seem a LOT better now which is good
She has referred DS to the podiatrist (is that right??) about his pronating feet -so that's good and will get us in the system as I will need to get the kids bones etc checked as it turns out all OH's skeleton problems are in fact genetic and so we'll need to be on the look out so that the same things don't happen to the kids. Both are good weights, height wasn't measured. My HV will ring me later about William's developmental check.
Not been doing much else apart from feeding the kids. Done some washing, but will have to tumble dry as the weather is terrible!
Need to update sig as well

Glad to see The HV has put your mind at ease and that the kids are both doing well. You say you've not done much but looking after two littlies is a lot of hard work along with housework etc.0

Good news then sea, it is hard work looking after your own, i used to find a class of 30 quite relaxing at times! LOLBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

lol - I agree with you both there - I do find work easier than being at home sometimes, simply because it's a relief to be able to go to the loo without an audience!!
Been feeling really sad this afternoon - almost like I'm saying goodbye to someone, rather than just changing things. I got over emotional looking at baby pics of the kids and then generally emotional about everything. Not good. Rang my mum though and she helped a bit. She's down though as her business of 22 years is on the rocks so that's crappy too.
On the plus side, the kids have had a nice day, created a bombsite of downstairs, but I don't care as long as they are having fun!
Cooking a rather random tea at the moment - definitely storecupboard cooking!
Now I just need to try to sort a few things tonight and then it'll be the app tomorrow before I know it. OH asked me if we were doing the right thing this morning, but I really do think we are. Definitely.
On MSE front - yet another day with no spends - think this must be 2 days in a row and at least 7 from this month
Ah well, off to finish tea.
