Morning all,
Smoky, it was good to read your post yesterday. It sounds like you are doing really well. Enjoy your couple of days off.
Stefejb, sorry things aren't great for you at the moment. You're bound to miss dd but she'll have a fantastic time.
Redruby, fingers crossed for your OH
Haribo, I hope dbil manages to build the greenhouse without too many dramas!
Happy Birthday to Master Mix, Essex boy and N9eav's Dad.
Well the rain has finally stopped :j so I'm going to get out into the garden this morning and make hay while the sun shines. It would have been my friends 33rd birthday today and tomorrow is the first anniversary of her death so I think I'll pick some flowers from the garden and take them over to her grave. I might take ds2 with me because the graveyard isn't a sad place as we only have happy memories of her.
This afternoon in the town square there is a craft fair....not quite sure what it will be like, but if it stays dry I'll pop down to have a look. Washing is spinning as we speak and this load is going on the line :j not draped over radiators baths or anything else!Tea tonight will be salmon in a boursin sauce with salad and my homegrown potatoes.
Off to hang out the washing...never thought I'd get excited about hanging out washing.Have a good day everyone!

Morning all,
Never quite made it to posting yesterday….
D-G & Jayward, have a lovely day J Jayward, that’s all you can do – look forwards, no point looking back…. ((hugs)))) I love liver & onions – none of my DD’s do so I don’t end up cooking it very often. Might get myself some for when they’re away next week…
Happy Birthday N9eav’s dad,MasterMix and Essex-Girl’s OH
Congratulations MeanMarie’s DD!!!! And everything crossed for RedRuby’s OH too…..
Catowen, that’s a shame about the LO’s – are there any other prospectives for the new school year?
PoppyOscar, sorry to hear things have deteriorated a bit – please look after yourself & think about what is best for you in the long run…. I don’t know the history/situation but it sounds a bit like flogging a dead horse (or whatever the phrase is..)
Mioliere – so lovehearts & jellybabies for supper then…?!? Sounds like you are doing a great job – even if you’re thinking “never again”!!
Smoky, I agree with Pink, you sound like you are managing incredibly well.
Pink, that’s a lovely gesture & a good way of acknowledging the anniversaries.
Just caught up on the last of yesterday's thread - Stef – keep your chin up. Sounds like the comments from your ex have just come at a time when you were feeling a bit low due to DD going away, I'm sure any other time you wouldn't have let it confuse you so much. Keeping your distance & not responding to it at the moment is probably a good tactic.... My exDH stood in my kitchen a couple of months ago telling me he still had feelings for me (despite having remarried/left her/gone back to her) - think it's a case of the grass is always greener with them....... Be strong & don't let him take you back to the bad place.
Betheebee - as others have said, the problems will come & go, & in the end you have to step back a little, be there for people, but let them deal with the details. You need that break as you need to look after yourself too, to be able to carry on being there.
(((((hugs)))))) to all those feeling sad, poorly, having tough times or who just need one. I shan’t name names as there are so many & I don’t want to forget so I shall send hugs for everyone J
Probably some washing etc going on here today as trying to persuade DD’s they MUST have some clothes that need doing before they pack to go away Sunday.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Morning all!
Redruby - fingers crossed for you DH later!

Happy Birthday to Essex boy and N9eav's Dad:bdaycake:
Congratulations to Mean marie's DD on passing her test!:T

hope you all have a good day xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all,
A normal day today I think, off out in a sec to get some milk, then proper grocery shopping later today. Apart from that, more reading on here and I really should start the art project I have to complete by the end of the month...
Happy Birthdays to those that have them, good luck to those who need it, positive thinking does wonders, you know! And extra special *hugs* to those who are a little sad or under the weather in any way.
I don't always get around to posting in here because the threads tend to run away with themselves so quickly hehe but I'm here in spirit
*hugs*

Morning all  Hope you are all well
Huge hugs to those that need them. I haven't caught up yesterdays thread, but will do at lunch time.
Redruby - good luck to your DH with his driving test
I was off work yesterday and spent the day fiddling with machines. I had to retke my bike CBT as it had expired (I haven't got round to taking my full test) and the insurance company is kicking up a fuss about insuring my bike (I'm not riding it at the moment because my wrists are too bad) even though it is stationary. Anyhow, they sent me a letter saying I had to retake the CBT within a month  so I booked one and went to do it again; thinking it would be quick - as last time (with a different company) they took the guy who could drive off on his own and recertified him really fast. No such luck yesterday - so I spent all day being patronised because I wasn't a 17 yo male. Ah well, it's done now, but my hands and back really hurt. I have tiny hands, so the clutch and brake levers were altered on my own bike so I had a better grip - this one wasn't as forgiving. Still, it was nice to get some experience of driving in a really busy area.
One of our friends with a car offered to take us shopping last night, which was nice of him, but we couldn't get it started to get us home so ended up pushing it into a parking space and calling a taxi to get us back - which wasn't a problem as it would have cost me more to get it delivered; I just wish that two blokes who know zip about cars would just have given in faster rather than spending an hour staring into an engine they don't understand. The macho display amuses me greatly, possibly because my dad works in the motor trade and always took the rise out of guys acting like that. Despite *again* being treated like an obviously useless girl  I tried to get it to bump start in second gear and tried rocking it in first as sometimes that can push a stuck starter, but no luck. I grew up surrounded by bits of engines, but graciously bit my tongue when they went through the rigmorole of attempting to name every visible engine part before giving in. I can't see how pointing at something and saying "this is the alternator" helps to fix the issue (especially when it was the distributor) Ah well
Other than that, I'm hoping for a quiet day of typing and probably fighting with my computer because of all the stuff I need hating windows Vista. Not convinced, and if it annoys me too much, it will be down-leveled to xp by the end of the dayTsk. It looks like a Mac. If has wanted a Mac, I'd have asked for one. And if I press a button I want it to do the action rather than go through 17 different "are-you-completely-and-totally-sure-you-want-to that?" screens first :rotfl: Have a good day all, cel x

Happy Birthday to Mr Essex-Girl and N9EAV's Dad.
Catowen - such a shame about losing the children. Hope they can be replaced soon.
Re: Favours - yes, they seem never-ending and I'm only doing 119 now - the numbers have gone up and down but that's the final count!
I'm annoyed now because I've just found a leaflet in my bag that I picked up a week or so ago about a concert and open-air picnic at Broadlands in Romsey, only twenty minutes away, with Billy Ocean, George McRae and Alexander O'Neal and we've already made plans for tomorrow night which we could have delayed if I'd remembered the concert! Oh, well - that happened another time when Edwin Starr was playing locally. I really must clear out my handbag more often. I don't think I'll tell DH, he'll be a bit cross! As I am.
Anyway, just getting ready to go out and do my food shopping and other errrands. Will call in later.

Morning Everyone
Just a quick one this morning. I'm off to Matalan asoon as the small person get her act togerther and get dressed. On non rush days I'm encouraging her to dress herself shes just like her dad and can't be hurried, its so frustrating.
It started off bright this morning but is looking decidely cloudy now. Will check the 24 forcast on the bbc website before I put my washing out. Think we will be having pizza for tea and a lazy night infront of the tv.
Have a good daySorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning peeps. ((((hugs)))) to those who need one and :bdaycake: cakes all round to all the birthday folk.
Sunny here so I have washed one dog's sleeping bag (cheap from Argos - very stripey tho). Waiting for the WM to 'click finished' then will hang it out. It is cooler here today and very breezy which is great for me - I hate too much sun. The 2nd dog bag will go in next. Anyone else wash their dog's bedding? I do worry about the build up of hair in the machine but usually do an empty hot wash with just bleach afterwards.
Tea tonight is some kind of pasta sauce with smoked bacon. I have nice local lettuce as well so will make a salad with that and grated carrots. Don't have any other salad things in at the mo and not going shopping until tomorrow
All of you with 'challenging' ex-OHs - maybe we should start a club? Or probably better to just let it all go. (((hugs))) to those working through difficult times. At least my 'kids' are 23 and 21 now and their dad works abroad.
Pink - it's always lovely to take your own flowers - it's special. I visited my parents grave when up in |Scotland but couldn't take home grown flowers so I took a stone from our childhood beach and just pushed it into the earth behind the gravestone. Anyone else do things like that or is it me? I love stones - always have. Always looking out for a nice stone to put in my pocket when I'm walking the dogs. Easily pleased eh?
Have a good day all
