pleased you put that. I posted the other day that that it cost us £1 to have a bath, that's 3 of us each day:eek:
I wondered if I had worked it out wrong but obviously not!
no room in bathroom for a shower, so DH has got new bath mixer taps with shower thingy. That's his weekend taken care of!
I know this is going to be hard to answer annie but............. how big is your bath and how deep do/did you fill it? I ask because if you've ever been in a travelodge their baths are very shallow so impossible to have a deep one. My DS2 on the other hand has a very deep bath that would take gallons to fill:eek:
Ours is probably on the smaller side, and not especially deep. I never run it very full at all. We've got the over the bath shower set up, no room for a separate one, and it works well. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
incidentally, i heard on radio 4 not so long ago that in Oz, they have a major draought, and everyone has to have shower timers - 3 mins max. Also they are not allowed to awash any other paert of the car apart from windows, thats by law. Apparently the Auzzies have got it sorted, and regualrly grass up thier neighbours for washing other parts of thier cars and watering gardens et.c:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Well i have a shower every day, stopped having baths when we got the shower in october. The kids and oh have to be dragged kicking and screaming once a week, so i can't moan at them for wasting water.0

my kids hate showers dd 4, ds 3 and ds 3 months ( so he never had one, lol) they generally all have a bath every night sometime every other and then a strip was. but they only ever have 2 or 3 inches of water and they all share. i find any more water than that and it never stays in the bathas once i get my lil babe out the bath the 2 older children go splash crazy, so i've learnt not to put too much in. they still enjoy it.
i love bath's great for relaxing .but if it save money then i'll def have to have showers with hub:rotfl: . no way could the 2 of us fit into a bath at same time any more. we both have put on lots of weight:embarasse0 -

my bath is the original 1939 bath that my flat came with, We had it re enameled when we moved in, it is very deep, very wide and very long and fits 2 comfortably;)
Yes I have had the travelodge bath experience, fine for a quick wash but much smaller than mine.0 -
ther are 4 of us in our house and i'm the only one who can do a shower in 3 minutes. we timed ourselves last week, after something i saw on tv. I was the only one who came in on time..worst of all was husband, says he had barely got himself wet when his 3 mins was up. ha ha. must try harder i think!0

My shower is electric, but its not a normal electric one its a pumped electric. But its not mega powerful, so I don't think it must use loads of water.0

I'm with pigpen on the can't wallow in own muck, I hate bathing only, if I have a bath I need a shower before and after
so much less economical for me.
We get showers, alone, but in this weather I am usually in twice a day, daily otherwise but I do keep them as short as possible. My partner spends more time in there than me and I am forever screaming at him for having the shower run while he shaves.......grrr! Boys usually have baths, they're too big to share now, so trying to get them to have showers but it's not easy with boys who have sensory issues, it's more difficult aswell me being able to wash them in the shower without getting soaked.
Suppose I'll just have to cut back elsewhere as I can't sleep when I feel icky etc.One day I might be more organised...........
