Oh, I think its more "fun" to share a shower than a bath.

We had a massive walk in shower on holiday:D

I count that as well worth it for a once a week treat - that's 96p for a lovely relaxing evening!

I bath the smaller children once a week.. if they are lucky.. the rest of the time they get a 'smelly bit wash' and hands and faces are forever being slopped over. I can normally do 4-5 in the same water before it needs replacing! The oldest 3-4 get a shower as and when needed.

I have a shower when I get round to it and it takes about 5 minutes to wash my hair as well... hubby takes forever.. goodness knows why there is twice as much of me to do!!

I hate having a bath.. it is like wallowing in my own dirt.. bleurgh!!

I'd rather spend my 96p on crisps!!

Thats one advantage of going swimming - use their shower and you have had tha lovely feeling of being immersed in water.

Pigpen - I know what you mean - I adore to have a bath to relax in but I have to wash first so that I am now wallowing in my own muck!

I have a shower every morning. It's an electric shower so I know it uses a fair amount of electricity. I am usually in and out of the shower (hair washed and conditioned too) in approx. 5/7 minutes maximum. (No bits missed!) My friend's daughter spends half an hour in the shower every day. How long do you spend in the shower and will it change now that utility prices are soaring? I'll still have a shower every day but will aim for 3 minutes maximum !!

I think this could be where I might buy some shares in companies that make kitchen timers - all the timing of showers people will be doing:D

That is a dear price for a bath! Whew! I guess it depends to some extent how deep you have it. I always used to have to have a bath (gas-heated water) - and it was about medium depth in my case. Thank goodness I have an electric shower these days (just a standard one - not a power shower).

Whew - if I was still having to have baths I think I'd be getting a few more grey hairs at the prospect of paying about £7 per week just to keep clean - before I started using fuel for anything else!

<wanders off muttering "how can I find a tactful way of telling people they have over-economised on the keeping themselves clean thing - please shower/bathe more often". Some people are a bit unpleasant to be near anyways on the hygiene front.....>

pleased you put that. I posted the other day that that it cost us £1 to have a bath, that's 3 of us each day:eek:
I wondered if I had worked it out wrong but obviously not!

no room in bathroom for a shower, so DH has got new bath mixer taps with shower thingy. That's his weekend taken care of!
