Evening everyone :hello:
Sorry about the kitten Mummysaver.
Hugs to Beth, Candynan, Fizzel, poppyoscar and Catowen.
Dorry and Churchie.... You should know better
Well done to your DD Marie.
A fairly quiet day here today. Did some handwashing ( a la troo) and spun it but it's too wet to go outside. Also picked alot of veggies so had pork chops with a creamy sauce made with HG tarragon and sage along with HG spuds, HG courguettes, HG brocolli, HG broad beans and HG carrots.:D That lot has constituted about a third of my crop but it was worth it and there is more growing all the time.
OH says he's building the greenhouse tommorrow so hopefully I can get the tomatoes to turn red.I'm about to brave the rain to move some plants into the new raised beds and to plant the spuds for Christmas. The side beds need weeding too.
Nothing much else to report so I'm off to get soaked in the garden.
Haribo x
ps... Thanks to those who asked about my appt. :A All went ok I suppose but there are no changes and no new treatment yet so nothing earth shattering.
Oh and we spent a fortune in Glasgow, particularly in Ikea and on the new school uniforms.
xxx
edited to add.... Good luck to your OH for tommorrow Ruby and Pink........How're the fleas????0 -
Evening, all. Sorry I've not been here sooner, but it has been manic today. Really, really busy. At least I have some more ideas for the wedding now, and am happily plot-plotting away. I need to get a folder together of all the stuff and start being really organised. The budget spreadsheet is one thing, and while I do lug my laptop with me practically everywhere, I can't store pamphlets and brochures and the like, so I'm going to be developing some muscly shoulders lugging it all around with me!
I hope everyone is well and not coping too badly in this horridly humid weather. I want a good thunderstorm to clear the air a bit! (((hugs to those in need)))Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -
Hi guys,
It's been drizzly here today but extremely humid. Work has been a nightmare over the last few days due to the heat, staff and clients getting touchy as a result. I hate this weather..
I got my bookwork up to date, most of the ironing done - maybe an hour or so tomorrow and after tidying up tonight I am going to get stuck in to the beaded curtain along with a cold one or two as no work for the next few days. The garden is weeded and if the weather isn't too bad tomorrow the kids and I will put in the rest of the bark and then admire the finish next to my new front steps (very swanky).
I've got a man calling next week for a quote on the back garden and if he is reasonable I will get it done. The patio area I hope to tackle with the kids this weekend.
I need to organise an online shop tomorrow and start using up the shed loads of dried pasta we have. DS1 wants to cook something for his cubs badge so I think we will make some lasagne tomorrow and batch cook some pasta sauce in the SC to start using up the rest of the pasta. I also have a glut of eggs and maybe a cake or two will be in order alongside another impossible pie.
I switched my gas and leccy a month ago to Scottish power, to a much better deal and will stick with it as it was half what I was paying. However the oven is gas and am seriously looking in to getting a remoska as it sounds like it will save a fair bit.
I was disgusted with the BG price rise announcement alongside the other for nearly a billion pounds in profit. It was only a week or so after I switched that they were canvassing our area touting for business and I had a not so nice man at my door absolutely insistent that they were the cheapest and had no intentions of raising their prices in the near future     I wonder how many new customers they managed to aquire before today's bombshell.
PEN-PIN, glad to see you back in one piece.
MUMMYSAVER, P.0., CATOWEN, FIZZEL, CANDYGIRL, BETH. Gentle hugs to you all and to anyone else in need.
GINGHAM, your box sounds like good value.
PINK, we had fleas last year and had to get 'the man' out - yeugh!! I hope your infestation is easily dealt with.
MEANMARIE, congratulations to your DD. This will be my next mission!
Well off to tidy up and do the dishes. I hope you all have a good night and that it cools down a bit tomorrow.
Love, Smoky. xxxxIf you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

Evening,
Smoky, you have been busy.
Miss Meanie, congrats on passing the test
Catowen, rotten about losing the 2 littlies, let's hope you find a couple of new ones soon.
Beth, it's very difficult when things like this happen, you just don't know what to say for the best. ((hugs))
Pink, have you stopped scratching yet?
Haribo, I suppose no change is one of the better results, hope you didn't get too wet.
Mummy, sad news about the kitten
Candy, hope dad is ok tomorrow
My golf today was enjoyable, it was the last chance to qualify for our main comp of the year and I've had a text to say I've qualified. :T I'm really pleased as I've not been able to play much this year with working and I didn't think I'd play well enough to get through. Thanks for all of your good wishes. :A
Miss Twit has gone to a gig in town so i'm waiting for the come and get me phone call.
Hugs to all those in need
Love The Twit, :grouphug:

Hi Friends, well what a day DD2 was supposed to see the Midwife Y/day at 3.30pm. DD2 had a text at 3.05pm to say that Midwife didn't feel well so app cancelled. DD had taken half a day off, she is self/emp so lost wages. Mid/wife said she can fit her in next Wed, She only does Wednesdays. DD2 will have to take 2 children with her aged 15mths and 4mths.
I offered to have the LO's but DH has a supprise, has booked a 4 day break away for us staying in Plymouth near the Barbican.
I want to cancel the break but know that DH would not be happy.:(
DB2 has gone awal. His DD arrived at my DD1's today, ...... confused? I don't blame you.
As if you haven't had enough of my disfunctual life, I have had a phone call from my Mum's partner ( Sandy ) to say that Mum is in hosp, being treated for a bad bout of phsorious, pysariosis, siriasis, oh bug*er ... a skin disorder.
Yes you did read right, Sandy.
I must go up to Reading tomorrow and see my Mum.
So sorry my post is not about OS but I feel I can share with my friends.
I did manage to wash all dishes by hand to save lecy, does that mean it is an OS post ?
Edit, WHATATWIT, well done on qualifying, hope you do extremly well, fingers/toes crossed. Do let us know when you you are playing.0 -
Evening all,
Very pleased with DD...at 35 she is the last of the brood to do her test, she took my car this pm ( and her two little girls) to visit a college friend of hers, had a great evening there so I suppose that I won't see my car now when she is around!
Smoky, you are doing so well...do start the driving whenever you can, even if you are not too keen, with small children it will give you wonderful independence.
KAAT...nice to see you back, missed you the last couple of days.
Beth...enjoy your break, your family, siblings and offspring, will be fine while you are away...I used to worry about everything but am slowly giving it up as a bad job..gets no one anywhere.
Hugs to all in need or want....where are Crazychic and dlb these days?
Sleep well

Beth, the final is played over 2 rounds, 1st on Thursday and 2nd on Friday. It's 2 weeks today.
Hope you and DH have a lovely time in Plymouth. Sounds as though you could both do with a break.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0
