Dad had a nurse come round and take 12 phials of blood last week, that's how they found out he needed the transfusion.Mum took him last week to hosp for a pain killing infusion, and it nearly killed her, as she has bad knees etc etc.I was working.we asked for the DN to take his blood today, but the hosp said no cos they need to to set up for his transfusion tomoz asap:mad:   The Macmillan nurse said he can go for further transfusions at the hospice though, so that's a relief:rolleyes:
This is what they've paid into all their working lives, they don't moan, but I bl00dy will today:mad:
Rant over, and reeeeeelllllllllllllllllllaxxxxxx:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Morning all,
Just off to collect DD2 after her driving test...don't know yet if she passed!
Nothing much planned here to-day....had left it bare for Shez' visit which is now not happening...next time maybe. Dinner will be whatever is about to go mouldy in the back of fridge, mixed together with herbs...it will be lovely!
Hugs to Candygirl, Betheebee Flossie and all others in strife of any kind

7 bananas
7 tangerines
6 nectarines
5 pears
a cardboard punnet of mushrooms
celery
fennel
4 courgettes
huge yellow pepper
huge cabbage
1lb carrots
almost 3lb potatoes
3 large onions
3/4lb plum tomatoes
eggs and milk are lovely and fresh too. Very pleased. Nice driver.
HTH
is it rude of me to ask how much all that costs?0 -
Morning
I do not feel like the smiley, dorry I think you and I have the same problem this morning:o :rotfl: But it was a lovely birthday BBQ for my BIL:D
Finger's crossed for your daughter meanmarie.
mioliere, I know just what you mean about capping. We changed suppliers just before it all went crazy, and that was such a pain, I didn't look at capping deals straight away. Now you can only cap for one year at a high cost, so think we'll just ride it out and hope. At least now there's just the two of us, we can control some of the stupid waste. You know light switches that can only turn on, appliances left on all the time:rolleyes:
Well in view of the previously mentioned head, I don't think I will be doing anything very productive for at least the first half of the day:o I don't even feel fit to drive, so shopping will have to wait until this evening.
Going to try some more caffeine;)

Hello Again
Just having a coffee break from the ironing which I have been doing for about 2.5 hours! 90% of it is done but I will have a shower and wash my hair before I finish it and put it away as I am still not dressed!
Mioliere - I am with Eon & they advised me that the capped rate is 10% higher than the normal one but as B Gas put up their prices by 35% then they will be following with a similar figure. Very annoying though as B Gas have just released their profits - very nice for them.
(((hugs))) for Floss and Candygirl.

Hello!
A partly newbie here...I've lurked and posted a tiny bit
I have recently moved into my own flat and have been looking for ways to cut back on my spending so I can afford to live in my flat. I've also decided to try and save to go to Tokyo next spring so am saving for that too!!
I have decided that Thursday will be my chores day and I have a ton of bills to file away and nowhere to file them!! and washing to put away and a kitchen floor to clean. A lady from FreeCycle is picking up some packing boxes that have been left in my kitchen since I moved over a month ago!! Thankfully I've cooked so much this week, I can eat left overs but need to decide between sag aloo and beetroot carrot and potato cakes!! yum yum!
My kneading arm for my bread maker (which I picked up off freecycle) has arrived to so I shall try to make some bread tonight. Anyone have any tips? :j
Also found out my gas and electric in my flat are on a fixed rate hurrah!
I've got an appointment down the passport office tomorrow need to check everything is there and filled in correctly. I'm flying out to Budapest on the 12th really hope they don't reject it!!! :eek:0 -
Hello all and welcome melli:j
Well, don't know what the weathers up to today........was very hot and sticky during the night, all overcast this morning and looked like rain but I got all ready to go into town anyway (new charity shop opening !!!:j ) then the rains came down !!!!!!!!! Looked like it was going to be a wet day so I change back into 'slobbing around' stuff and give OH list of what I want from town -charity shop can be inspected another day............now its left off raining and we've even got a glimmer of sunshine !!!!!!!!!! Well, I've made my mind up to stay in now......just as well as older lad hasn't gone to work.......again !!!! and younger lad is now up and about and shortly to get the 'I'm bored' expression followed by 'can I have my pocket money a day early !!
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o ))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
