    Hi

It's started to pour down here in Yorkshire! It's gone really dark and looks like to might thunder:eek:

Well, I have spent all day on the sofa with blankie and the dog keeping me company:rolleyes: ds2 is at sport summer school this week, I have to pick him up at 3.30pm and then cook tea....groan! I still feel a bit iccky, but I think the slobbing about has made me feel a bit better! I am so annoyed with myself, I never go out and then when I do, this is what happens, It just seems like a total waste of a day:mad: Won't be drinking again in a hurry!!

    churchmouse, how are you feeling????

    Afternoon all:hello:

((((Hugs)))) to Candygirl, Betheebee, Fizzel and anyone else who needs one.

An overcast day in the Land of the Concrete Cows today - still very warm though.

Mr LW spent ages the other evening with his calculator working out gas/leccy prices, and as a consequence decided to cap. We got the confirmatory letter fron E-on this morning, so that's that sorted.

He had to log onto work at 22:45 last night, and has to again tonight (yep, it's not a typo, quarter to eleven at night!! ). Apparently it has to be at that time as he has to do some sort of maintenance to the databases which can only be done at a given time. It always used to be 21:00, but something's been changed so it has to be later now. Never mind, he has tomorrow off on annual leave.:j

Can't believe we're at the end of July already - where's the year going?

Have a good day everyone, catch you later perhaps.

    Hi everyone

Still trying to empty the bedroom - I know too much junk/clothes etc.

Scan reading, but not recalling much at all so apoogies and ((Hugs)) to all.

M - have you tried going on the comparison sites, and putting in your existing tarif and usage, and then selecting a capped one.

I followed a link from Martin back in Apr/May but only just been finalised, but had £75 back from Quidsco, moved from E-On to Scottish Power capped until 2011, and the difference was only a + of £9 a year. I know my usage is low now by not being here, but it has been smooth apart from E-On guessing my meter readings higher than they were, they have paid me the £9.02 back they said I was in credit, and I have reported what they have done to Scottish Power, and they sent out someone for a meter read, no doubt they will sort it between them. Latest update is the £75 has been received by Quidco.:j :j :j

There is still cashback to transfer to Scotish Power at Quidco http://www.quidco.com/scottish-power/

    Afternoon all,

    melli, welcome. :hello:
dorry and churchie, I hope you both feel better soon.
    marie, congratulations to your daughter.
cat, sorry to hear that you've lost the little ones. :( Hopefully something will come up for you soon.
    wmf, welcome back!
Hugs for Candygirl, fizzle, Beth and Essex girl.

Well I have a really bad dose of post holiday blues. :( It's been piddling down here non stop since we got home so I can't get any washing outside and it's beginning to get on my nerves hanging all over the house. It's been so wet that I haven't even managed to unpack the roofbox on the car...it must be bad because that's where all the wine is and that would normally motivate me to get it sorted. ;) I'm going stir crazy being stuck in the house and not able to get working on the garden so I'm going to try to persuade Mr Pink to come with me to see Mama Mia tonight. Hopefully that will do the trick and cheer me up.

If it dries up this afternoon I'll try to get the boys out somewhere as they are going quietly mad too. I've got lots of salad things in and that was what was planned for tea but as it's more casserole weather I think I'll go and have a poke in the freezer for inspiration.

Anyway, enough of my moaning. :o I hope you all have a good day. :)

    Hi Guys!

Have had an odd PM and dont know who I should report it too:confused:

Feeling shattered today but have been totally resting for the last 2 days. The nurse came again and she bought my new Glucose Testing machine and showed me how to use it and is more simpler that my INR machine, so thats good. She tested it and it was 4 which is quite low. Also had a pain killer jab and an anti-sick jab.

We are visiting sister tomorrow as she is moving. She needs OH to help her as her BF is useless!! I am just going to rest up. We are leaving quite early and will grab a bacon roll from a van we go to on the way:D ...delish as she adds mushrooms and onions and HP sauce;) ...yummy!! We are staying overnight and back again Saturday.

We have been invited to a picnic on Sunday, but will see how we go. Friends have offered to do all the food and drink, so we just need to bring ourselves. I ordered a tent thing from Amazon which is a factor 50 protection that you can sit in and sits up to 4-5 people. It was reduced to £15 inc delivery from £45, so that was good value and we can use when we go out as Im not allowed to sit in the sun much.

Managed to cap our G&E Sunday at £30 more than we are paying ATM but fixed till next Oct:j :j :j :j ...also....BARGAIN alert!!!! Our AA is due next month and we was sent a renewal price of £98 including a £10 discount:eek:    ...I called them and said I would be cancelling and explained why...the guy was lovely and said he could do it for £35:confused: ...then he noticed I was disabled and asked if I had a bluebadge which I said Yes!....he then came back and said it would be £20.45 as they do a Bluebadge discount:beer: ...I know there a few here that have a bluebadge, so it will be worth your while asking them.

We have Shepherds Pie tonight with Carrots and cabbage from the garden. OH has already knocked it up and looks nice.

Anyway, I am rambling. Hope everyone is well.

    Hugs

    PP

Hi all and welcome to Melli - you'll like it here!

Donny - I've only just switched to E.On from BG because they said I would save around £300 a year. BG were difficult to switch from and kept phoning up to ask me why I was leaving them - after they had just announced their last lot of outrageous profits! When I did my comparison before switching, E.On came out as the best at the time. I think I'll stay with them for now and see what their latest rise will be.

Well, I've had lunch and I'm now going to bring all the wedding favour bits downstairs to carry on with. I've been doing them up in the spare room but I think I'll get on better if they're more handy.

Meanmarie - Well done to DD!!

    Anyway, I'll get cracking.

    See you later.
