I just followed the advice in Martin's last email and found that my current electricity supplier (British Gas) has a tariff that saves me 34% (£300+) just by commiting to stay with them until 2007 or paying a £20 administration fee if I move before then. How come BG didn't tell me about it?0

This tariff will go up at the end of the year but sounds like you'll still save about 20% when it does.
Go to house.co.uk and sign up for it or phone them. As for telling you, it's the Price Freeze 2010 they're trying to push.0 -
Martin says it's time to change because "many" utilities have increased their prices. I think there's a problem here which is that a utility which has NOT increased recently is more likely to win on any price comparison. So we need to be able to easily check the date (and %?) of the last increase. If the price comparison sites can not be prevailed upon to provide this could MSE have a tabulation with this data? In the shorter term can anyone tell me date (and % if poss) of last increase for npower - Sign on-line?0

The most helpful page I've come across is this
http://www.ukpower.co.uk/price%2Bupdates.asp
From that it tells me that the last change to Npower online was 4th February 20050 -
Good spot, jem16.
A very useful page which I've already bookmarked.

Thanks. I tried to sign up online but couldn't find the right link on the website so I emailed - then I phoned as well just to be sure.0

Thanks - just what I needed. However it does show that of about 75 entries less than 20 are in last 6 months (don't quote me - I'm relying on a quick check I did and on my memory - both equally unreliable). However if I'm anywhere near right it doesn't sound like the level playing field that Martin said we now had - he referred to "many" changesjem16 wrote:The most helpful page I've come across is this
