No. The 12 months free Web is part of the iPhone PAYG package, i.e if you use a different SIM you won't get it. You would need to get a Simplicity deal with the Web bolt on.

Iphones are selling well why should they want to drop the price. The price will only drop when the 3rd generation is about to be released.

  • Forgive me if this has been posted before but I see that QUIDCO are offering £45 from Carphone Warehouse on new IPhone contracts.

Is this the best deal at the moment?

I'm in an O2 contract with one of these deals where I send off my bill every few months for some cashback. I would like to buy a 2G iPhone off ebay to use with this contract - will I encounter any problems with (a) sticking my current O2 SIM into the iPhone, and (b) claiming my cashback payments in the future?

You should have no problems as such but you will not get the unlimited data part of the iphone tarrif nor the visual voicemail.

Check your current tarriff you may find the data use could mean this is a very expensive upgrade in the long term.

    Hi all,

Quick reminder for those that took out the iPhone £45pm tarriff to get the £100 off the cost of a 16GB iPhone: It's 9 months since the iPhone 3G went on sale so if you bought it in those first few days then you can now downgrade to the £35 tarriff if you don't need to pay for 1200mins instead of 600mins.

You need to call O2's iPhone Customer support team on 2302 and go through the menu options to Billing.

Oh dear, no formatting possible here, I had the numbers from the article updated for current contracts, but can't post it. Worth updating though don't you think?

I just gave this a go...having been on a £45 iphone contract for the last 9 months.

Rang Billing up on 2302 and they changed it instantly to a £35 contract, no questions asked.
