... Firstly, are they worth the money you pay for them?Is it worth getting one NOW, or getting a cheap PAYG SIM card for my current Nokia and wait until the summer for new (and most likely more expensive to start up) iPhone 5?
iPhone 5 - Contract changeAnd is the 12 months Tesco Mobile still the best deal, or is it better to buy the phone outright and unlocked and then get a SIM only deal from somewhere?0 -
gemlcoleman wrote: »Just thought I would mention the best deal I have seen for a while for iphones - on Three (which I am already on and have no problem with signal).
2 year contracts on £30 month, but for that you get:
£99 iphone4, 300mins,5000 texts, 500mb data
or £149, 500 mins, 5000 texts, 1GB data
Reckon thats the best deal out there at the minute for people who can't afford to pay much upfront.
Hope this helps someone
I got the T-Mobile offer a while back and its still on their website and much better than the above as if you use alot of minutes you get 300 extra for a fiver more, Plus the data offer is what made me choose T-Mobile -
iPhone 4 - £99

The three deal is far better than the T-mobile offer.0

I went for the Vodafone 12 month contract which gives:
iPhone 4 - £99
1200 Minutes
Unlimited Text
750 MB Data
£50pm [Icluding VAT]
I bought this from Carphonewarehouse through the Quidco link and therefore eligible for £80 cashback (deal has tracked). This makes it the cheapest overall deal I have seen (even cheaper than buying the phone outright and buying a £10 goodybag each month on a Giffgaff sim). Added advantage of Vodafone is that they offer the lowest roaming rates. For deals above £40 a month (and therefore my deal is eligible), I get 25MB roaming data a day free when travelling in Europe.0 -

I'm sure it is however it was usless to me - I tried a PAYG sim to see if 3 worked in my area and got little/no signal 99% of the time!:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Very good offer - The £150 T-Mobile/Quidco cashback is what lured me to them though!:rotfl::dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Seems there is an even better way of getting the same deal above now. There is a £140 cashback now available through Quidco if you use their link and buy any iphone contract from Vodafone. The Vodafone website now lists the cost of iphone in above 12 month contract as £129 rather than £99 but the deal is still £30 better off as the cashback is £140 rather than the £80 I got.
As my delivery from Carphonewarehouse is still in progress, I had half a mind to cancel the deal and buy from Vodafone directly usign Quidco but then decided against it as there were too many hoops to cross (cancel one deal, book another deal, hope that credit check passes, hope that deal gets tracked and cashback paid, etc). One mistake and it could have been a perfect case study of trying to get everything and losing a lot in the process0 -

Have been looking into this for my girlfriend. The Voda £140 cashback excludes 12 month contracts so still think you got the best deal. It's only £40 on the 12 month ones.0 -

The £80 cashback is applicable if you go via Quidco and book this contract not directly from Vodafone but from Carphonewarehouse.

As for the Quidco offers for direct Vodafone purchases, yes it now says £40 for 12 month contracts but I can swear that yesterday it was saying £140 for any iphone contract (maybe they amended the offer since then).
So as far as the cheapest 12 month deal goes, the way to go is to go via Quidco and buy the Vodafone 12 month contract from Carphonewarehouse and not from Vodafone directly.0 -

Agree, they seem to have pulled them from the offers, which is pretty annoying. Maybe they are gearing up to the release of iPhone5? Does anyone have any indication as to when that is going to be released? I can upgrade now, but contract doesn't run out for another 3 months..... still undecided re the costs of this lifestyle choice!!0
