I know this has probably been covered, but does anyone reckon there'll be any short term deals on the 3GS after the new iPhone comes out on the 24th?
I've been on a rolling simplicity tariff with O2 on my old Samsung handset since my contract finished in January, in anticipation of the new iPhone coming out this summer. Having seen the prices though I'd be just as happy if I could get a 3GS on the cheap. I can upgrade any time so I'd be interested to know if anyone has heard any whispers of deals on the 3GS?0 -
Hello there. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I was wondering, what is the best way to go about getting an iPhone 3gs, as an upgrade for the best posible deal. I am due to upgrade on the 15th of July. I rung up today to enquire about the iPhone 3gs and was told if I wanted one Iwould have to pay £45pm over a 2 year contract. £45pm is just extortionate in my eyes.
I am not interested in a 2 year contract, 18 months is a bit too long in my eyes, but will do me fine.
I read a few posts back about people getting the 3gs on an 18mth contract for £28pm. How would I be best wording myself to achieve a similar deal? Bartereing isnt one of my strong points, but seeing as money is getting tighter these days I need to improve my haggling skills.0 -

it says for monthly
* Separate Fair Usage policies of 750MB / month apply to both BT Openzone WiFi and Mobile Internet Browsing. surprised people would use it on pay as you go but then again i dont know what options there are on there.

It'll be interesting to see if the price for used 3GS iPhones really does drop after 24 June. The new iOS4 software is due out on 21 June and offers much of the improved functionality apart from the hardware improvements of course.
Once a 3GS is upgraded with the new software for free I wonder if people will decide to go for this as a cheaper option to the new iPhone 4 ?0 -
Sorry all if I sound dumb but if the 3gs can be updated with the new ios4 software from the 21st what difference will there be from the 4g!! Many thanks if you can help as thinking of just going for the 3gs!
Have read once ordered the 4g online from apple it wont be delivered till the July 3rd so still a wait??0
