Are you a consultant already Sampi?
Yes, I started a year ago and I've really enjoyed it. Only problem is that I've been a bit too relaxed about getting party bookings for peak time. I need to start working on that today!
Fiona, great idea to get people to fill in the wish list, telling them you need help to get an idea about which products you should invest in. I've not been too keen on the wish list myself, as I don't want to seem too pushy, but this way you get them really thinking about products they like without them realising that they're doing it!
Anyone else with good ideas about how to make themost out of the wish list?0 -
<P>Becci-the October buy in is the mens maca stuff...I got it last week and its well worth getting. There is about 6 products and its smells lovely...you need it to sell it!!0

whenever there is a buy in and you don't know what it is, add it to your order as it'll then give you the breakdown (in your 'basket') of what it actually is. If you then don't want it you can delete it from your 'basket'. The Oct one is one of everything from the macca root range, RRP £71 i think but we can get it for less than £10.0

anyone know whats in the october 2008 all consultant buy in?
i wish there were pics of all thse things as half the time i dont have a clue what i am getting!
i am really wishing i didnt buy the mineral makeup as i have no idea how to use it and so cant push it or demo it! what a waste!
We did training in mineral make-up at our last regional meeting. I'm sure all the area managers have had their training,so maybe you could ask yours to help you out? Really it isn't that hard to use it once you've tried it! Good luck!0 -
Hi does anybody have any top tips on how to get more parties??
Thanx

i wouldn't give 10% discount personally - for a start how do you explain that it can't count towards free shopping etc. i'd sell the fact that if she gets £130 orders or more before her party then she'll start the night knowing shes already got at least £25 free shopping, and you'll give her some extra freebies in her hostess goodie bag, so then at the party you can make up the goodie bag and say:
"now this is because she held the party, this is for getting £x of orders before party, this is for having 2 party bookings waiting for me when i arrived at her party, and because party orders were £x she also gets £x free shopping, £x half price shopping and because its october and body shop are running a special promotion she also gets an extra £10 to spend on what she wants because she got 2 parties booked at her party."
that sounds like quite a lot when i put it like that actually!!!!! lol!! x x
What would you give the hostess for holding a party, getting outside orders and having party bookings?0 -
A really big 'pamper pack'. For doing those kind of things she should get free products that I have bought off of supply and wrapped up nicely in a cello bag.
They can be wrapped seperately if I want to make the point 'THIS' is for holding the party, 'THIS' is for getting over x ammount of pre-orders, 'THIS' is for getting x number of parties booked at your party, 'THIS' is for getting more than x nimber of guests to your party etc. etc.
I wouldn't give something for getting x pounds of orders at the party though because that is what the hosts free shopping is for. I might give the guest something for ordering over x pounds (£30?) though.0 -
I've always just given a pamper pack for holding a party, but I think it sounds like a good idea to have separate packs for different things, both to make the hostess work harder and to make it seem more attractive for her guests to book a party. I'm just not sure how much to give for each "achievement" to make it seem worth it for the hostess. Any suggestions?0

Just had an email reply for a christmas fair. I can have a stall for £25 its a big indoor fair, looks quite good. However it says if you are a registered charity you can hold a stall for £15 would COTE count as a registered charity, or is this more if I would donate all the proceeds to it?
Has anyone done xmas fairs or the like. Whats the tips? what should I do?0 -

Hi Sampi,
as i put in my previous post 'THIS' is a body shop branded sample. the host and her guests don't know that you've got it off supply and its not cost you a lot - so if you make up a goodie bag in front of her and her guests towards the end of the party showing what shes got for having the party and put each product in and explain why shes got it, for eg:
this pamper pack is for having the party [cotton pads, cotton buds, mirror, mini bottle of wine, sample sachets] this [cassis rose shower gel] is for having £130 orders waiting for me when i arrived at the party, this [mango body lotion] is because she had 2 parties waiting for me when i got to the party, and she also gets £10 from body shop because of the promotion they are running in october, and because she got £300 worth of orders then she also gets £40 free shopping and £30 half price shopping
x x0
