in terms of making a profit then I think the mistake that most of us make is to spend too much before we start partying. I bought my kit and business cards before my first party but since then have spent almost all of my commission on supply so am now breaking even but I have a rediculous ammount of supply items. If i'd been more controlled then I wouldn't have bought so much so soon. (just because you can buy 3 of each incentive each order doesn't mean you need them!) and I'd have more money in my pocket. I've been doing this since August and have effectively spent nothing and earned nothing except a couple of christmas gifts that I'm keeping nice to actually give as gifts.0

I agree with EllieP. I used my commision to buy products so not eatting into any 'normal' money. I used only my basic kit and borrowed stuff off my manager for my 1st party. I now have one of everything in the catalogue and am actually struggliong what to spend my prize money of £25 on!0

Good afternoon all
Im itching to get training and my kit, but have to wait until the 20th.
I was just wondering what the general running of a party goes like, what is the routine so to speak?
Just want to be as clued up as poss and might aswell do it whilst I have the time :j0 -
I think that it is a really good idea to have a goal for your finances. I use my profits to go towards a skiing holiday for me and my family. I have worked out how much I need to earn in a month to afford a great holiday in 2010 (May seem like a long time away, but worth the wait). I keep a picture of the resort on my desk, and look at it often, this helps me to not splash all my hard earned cash on supplies etc, which I don't necessarily need.
A good idea is to put a picture of your dream on your display and explain that that is what the body shop is paying for, a great little recruitment bid!0 -

Hi
Have you ever been to a party? There are different themes which your AM should show you during your training. It is also a good idea to go along to one of her parties to see how she runs it, and pick up any good hints and tips along the way.
Also in your kit, you should have received paperwork on different parties.
All the best, and go out and enjoy this brilliant time of year!0 -

No I have never been to a party, was just wondering in what order things need to be done and how to keep everyone feeling like it is a 'party' not just a group of people browsing catalogues together?
I need to get some more bookings at the moment only have the 6 from friends and families, any tips?Maybe some posters? hmm0 -

Got this from the consultant information / business tools and support. I have used the header on a letter I wrote and the plum poster for upcoming parties held at centres rather than homes.:j0 -
OOh thankyou for that, might just make up my own posters then. Are you allowed to do that or does it have to be 'official' bodyshop posters?0
