I would be really annoyed if that were me too do you have the number of anyone higher than your manager because you could phone her and say that you havent been given training dates etc and feel like you've signed up and then been forgotten about! At the end of the day you will count as one of your managers recruits and by phoning or registering interest on the net she isnt actually doing any of the hard work and it is recruits that get you higher up the ladder so you are helping her!
For xmas sellers it might be an idea to offer a 10% discount to get some orders because it will then give the customers an incentive to order.

Hi Milliemonster,
What area are you from? Some other advantages of hosting a party are that you can get free shopping and half price shopping which you can not get instore, you receive a free facial or makeover, you get other freebies like incentives for if you get 2 party bookings at their party xxx0 -

Right.......registered my interest to be a BSAH consultant last wk of Sept - wanted the xmas freebies which is why I wanted to join in sept. Had a letter from BSAH to say that someone would be in touch with me. A SAM e-mailed me to say my name had been passed to me and she would ring me the following day. I hadnt heard anything from her so on 29th sept I e-mailed again to say I wanted to get in on the sept offer.....so she rang - she mailed me forms etc and I had to pay up and fax off the forms first thing on the 30th!!!! Anyway - my kit was sent to her - which is about an hour and half drive from me and she said she would be in touch to arrange training!! I'm still waiting!!!!! She mailed me yesterday to say she has been trying to get in touch (she has my mob number and landline - both of which have answering machines and yet no messages have been left!) and we need to do training as I am not going to reach my target number of parties!!!!!! How can I do a party with no kit!!!!!?????
Sorry - but I am getting disillusioned. I was so looking forward to starting - but now just feel like I've got a really bad impression of my "line manager" and we havent met!!!!!
What do you think I should do??? My Husband says - complain and go over her head!!! Men!!!!! I also had forms to fill out about how many parties I have booked for oct, nov & dec and they HAVE to be back ASAP - yet there isnt that urgency for my training and to get my kit - that I have paid for!!!!!!!!
AM I being unreasonable?!?!?!!?!?!?
Wish I was in a different team!!!!!!
Any advice would be great!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Welshgirl. i'm so sorry you've had such a bad experience! my kit got sent straight to me (so if she told you that wasn't possible then thats not true) also your supposed to have your 6 parties booked in before you get registered, to give you the best chance of success start (bascially winning stuff for your kit depending on your sales in your first 6 weeks) so you should have training and your kit within your first 2 weeks really. i have to say i agree with your husband - my team have been brilliant and i have only good things to say (elliep signed me up and even tho shes not been with body shop that long, shes always there for advice and if she doesn't know anything she finds out straight away and lets me know, and mel [my manager till elliep gets promoted out] is always on hand for info and advice too) but if i'd been having your experience i'd be complaining. i think HO would be very disappointed and shocked to find out about your experience, and if this is how shes treating you - you may not be a lone case!!

I was thinking that i might offer hosts a 10% discount on their order if they get over £150 in pre-orders does that sound good or a bit steep? xx
hi. yeah - i find then if you give it at the party, its a selling point and they are actually having a party (i had a mate who found herslef out of pocket by giving stuff when they booked and then they cancelled once they had the free stuff)
i wouldn't give 10% discount personally - for a start how do you explain that it can't count towards free shopping etc. i'd sell the fact that if she gets £130 orders or more before her party then she'll start the night knowing shes already got at least £25 free shopping, and you'll give her some extra freebies in her hostess goodie bag, so then at the party you can make up the goodie bag and say:
"now this is because she held the party, this is for getting £x of orders before party, this is for having 2 party bookings waiting for me when i arrived at her party, and because party orders were £x she also gets £x free shopping, £x half price shopping and because its october and body shop are running a special promotion she also gets an extra £10 to spend on what she wants because she got 2 parties booked at her party."
that sounds like quite a lot when i put it like that actually!!!!! lol!! x x0 -

We don't find out until either the very end of the month of beg of the next month. It would be worth while getting it on your credit card as then you have 28 days to pay for it and you would have had a couple of parties buy then to cover the cost and more!!0 -
