Ragz (and anyone else)
Don't give up too easily, Jan bookings seem to be hard to come by for me too but if you can keep your RQV above £150 then you can stay registerd as a consultant. Maybe plan to have Jan off and really push for the bookings in Feb?0 -
Hi ElleiP, good plan, thanks. Maybe have a Valentine's themed party or fundraiser? I hate January anyway! Just want to hide indoors with blankets!
I'm aiming to earn enough before xmas to pay for a few more driving lessons and my test then I'll at least be able to drive myself to parties, then hopefully I'll have more motivation as I hate having to badger everyone for lifts/babysitting all the time.
I'm having man trouble at the moment, he doesn't really support me doing this, he is self-employed himself and thinks my job is just doing his books and ordering supplies for him. Now I am trying to do something myself I think he is worried I'll let my other responsibilities slip or something. When I moan about being busy (I have 2 toddlers too) he just says what we do isn't work! Well it damn well felt like it on Saturday!

Hoping for some good sales this month. Anyone going for Rio?

Hi everyone, I posted on here a couple of times when I first joined The Body Shop At Home back at the beginning of September, but then had a car accident on the way to conference and so have only just got back into the swing of all things Body Shop.
Was just wondering if anyone could give me some tips on the general flow of a party, I readin my manual thingy that the presentation should be around 2 hours long?? What do you do that I could try at parties except for the facial and makeovers, and telling ppl about the company etc...
I had to cancel all my initial parties (which I was all geared up for!) after the accident and so finally have my 1st one this week and i'm so nervous because I feel all out of touch with everything!
Thanks for any tips!

Well i had my first party on Friday night and only 3 people turned up!!! So i was not too hopeful, although i did have just over £100 of pre-sales so it wasn't all bad.
I did a little talk about body shop and then the at home bit and they asked loads of questions about the products so it was a good test for me. In the end two of the guests spent just over £100 between them so my mum (host) was able to have £25 free and then £20 half price shopping so she was thrilled, although very embarrassed that her friends had confirmed, apparently 11 had confirmed the day before, but none turned up. I tried to let her know that it was alright but she is still embarrassed.
So i have a way to go to get to SS level 1, but party tonight so lets see how it goes.
Keep smiling all.Leopardlady

Hi everyone!
Well I'm all set to join the gang on Friday! A lady is coming to sign me up on Friday, and then I have a full days training on Sunday and I'm ready to go!! I'm wondering how long my kit will take to arrive. She said it will be at least 48 hours with it being Xmas, but dunno what that will mean with the weekend, will she be able to get my form in before the weekend if I sign up Friday morning? Is Saturday classed as a working day?
I've got 6 parties agreed in principle, just need to confirm dates for three of them before Friday, my friends are being really great about it! So there's no reason for me not to get the kit next week, I'm just worried as we want to book mine and my mum's party next week but what if the kit doesn't arrive on time?!? But can't really leave it till next week to invite people as then it will be too short notice for people eeek! Any help much appreciated!

Welcome Leanne!
As long as you have 6 party names, dates and phone numbers for the lady who comes to see you Friday, there's no reason for you not to be registered straight away. Once I was registered I got my kit within about 3 days think 48 hours may be pushing it but you never know.
Depending on the time of day your meeting is Friday, you should be registered that day so should get your kit by Wednesday or Thursday next week at a guess.
If your kit hasn't arrived by the time your first party is I would suggest speaking to your manager as she may lend you hers or someone else's in the team who haven't got a party that night.
If you've got any more questions just ask we'll all be happy to help you.

Men and Mothers!!!! When I first joined the BSAH a few years ago now, I decided to go for AM. I had to work really hard, but because I was not getting "paid" to go to meetings and recruitments, I was told that it wasn't a real job, and I was "just playing and not getting paid". This made me really mad, but they wore me down in the end and I gave up!!! Don't let this happen to you. You need to tell him straight that you are WORKING and the extra money is well earned.
Keep up the good work guys. still plodding on with catalogue sales, only need £222 for my SS1 - not bad considering!0 -
Thanks BodyShopBabe!
I've just spoken to the lady who's coming round and she is coming at 9.30am to do the registration so she can then whizz off and fax through my registration asap. She reckons it should be here by Wednesday but will lend me her kit if anything goes wrong. She also said that they look at the dates you have submitted for your parties and if they are very soon like mine, they will try to rush it through for delivery.
So... I've just created a facebook event for my party next Friday and invited all my friends! Very excited, just need to contact a few people who aren't on Facebook.
I think my mum's party is going to be on the Thursday next week, and she is a bit older and rubbish with texts and has never heard of facebook, so I think the invitations would really be helpful. As I wont get these in time and really want her to start handing them out tomorrow, I was going to knock some up tonight and print them on card. How do the proper ones look? Does anyone have a pic of one or anything that I can work from?

HI Leanne, if you can get some logos put them on your invites (put Body shop into google images, nick them off there!) makes them look more professional. As long as people realise it's a Body Shop party and have info like date, time, location and you details, plus tell them they can bring a friend then you don't really need anything else on there.
Good luck, hope you have a great party!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
