dani ive never seen one of those before but i think its a good idea. You can guarantee 1 person at least will ask you what its about!

Whats everyone upto tonight? We are going to a bonfire with some friends. Really looking forward to it. Will be a nice family evening which we dont get to do very often. Going to put Joseph (my youngest, aged 10 months) in his sleepsuit and then wrap him up in his snow suit, hat, scarf and gloves so if he falls asleep he can just go straight into bed when we get home.

Ok gotta go, need to drop an order off and go and buy some parkin and bonfire toffee for later on.

    Have a good day all!

For Recruits what about a recruitment board?Doesn't have to be huge, this is an example of one I had when I was an Ann Summers Rep:

Obviously yours would be different but you could add a couple of pictures of things you have bought with your earnings, pictures of any prizes you have won. Your average earnings etc. It doesn't have to be an amazing board but I used to find that if I had a board with me at my party by the end of the night someone would ask me a question and that would allow me to go into a bit more detail and explain things.

:j Thanks for sharing this with us it's a fantastic way, I agree that having a visual prompt like this would deffinately spark off some questions and also having it will remind you to speak about recruiting too. I will deffinately be making one of these, thanks for the tip!!! I dount it will look as good as yours though lol!

Hi all, well, it's been a long day...

The Gift Fayre (with about 20 stalls) was a total wash-out. About 20 customers all day and me and a few others were in what we were told would be the best position, turned out to be the freezing cold room that no one wanted to go in! I had no interest whatsoever, I handed out brochures and samples to everyone that passed and mentioned that we did parties to anyone that stayed long enough, but it was sooo cold everyone was rushing out again. The rain meant hardly anyone from town came in and as we where at the edge of town we only got the very hardy people turning up. It was a total waste of £20 and my time and energy.
Hoping the pamper/shopping evening nearer the end of the month will be better.

Had a party this evening too, was my my skint mate and her family so was expecting it to be awful but I did £213 in the end so not bad, all family and teenagers though so no bookings. I have met SS1 though so I am very chuffed about that. I have another party on Friday (my last one, no more booked after that!!!!!) which I am hoping will be ok, possibly reach SS2 with it but doubtful, she doesn't have a lot of people coming but I shall call her Monday and remind her about the outside orders.

Well done everybody for hitting your totals and getting recruits, too many of you doing so well I can't congratulate you all personally. Obviously big congrats to DitzeeBlonde (my new AM). Glad all you new starters are getting your success starts. Lets hope we all have a fab' November!

  • Sorry to hear the gift fayre was a washout Ragz, it's disheartning when that happens. Think the best thing to do for next time is if there are loads of other stalls too, don't bother. I had a fundraiser/fayre booked in for middle of this month but my AM told me not to bother. She said in her experience if there are other stalls there, i wouldn't get any interest at all so i declined the offer and i am now doing one for the lady as a fundraiser party at her home with just me.

That worries me as i have two fayres booked in, one is for a village school fundraiser and the other is a pamper evening. I went to a pamper evening with my area manager last month and she sold a couple of regimes and got a lot of interested people looking but mostly not buying. I got a party booked in - my am gave it to me - and we did loads of facials between us, probably because they were free! That evening was for a christian group though which were a captive audience there for a set time so that may have made a difference!
  • Thats such a shame Ragz... but a better result on the sales at the party!

Am meeting with Lou & Lesley on monday.. would appear party bookings are dropping off will do some brainstorming with them for all of us! I've not booked a new party for ages either... need to get creative I reckon!

Are there any charities close by that you could do fundraisers for? Thats the route I'm looking at... hopefully it'll be great networking too.xx

Hi all! The bonfire last night was really good! We had pie and peas, parkin and bonfire toffee. The kids loved the sparklers and fireworks apart from my 3 year old who didnt like the loud noises! My 10 month old though slept through the whole thing!

Ragz im sorry you didnt have a good fair but well done on your party sales and reaching SS1!!

My party for 28th November has cancelled (boo!) but ive got someone waiting in the wings who wants to book a party so im gonna book her in for that date. Also the host who cancelled is going to do a party in a bag anyway so maybe all is not lost.

My SAM called me last week and said she is doing a recruiting masterclass next sunday (9th). Once ive done that i will be able to do my own interviews and be able to sign up my own recruits so i cant wait!

Plans for today: going visiting the in laws and then tonight me and my dad are driving to birmingham. My sister lives in Cyprus (well, for the moment, shes a holiday rep) and shes coming home tonight - lands at birmingham airport at 3:30am. Cant wait to see her!

Hope everyones having a good weekend!
