I am assuming (happy to be corrected) that if you had not left renewing your tax credits so late you could have renewed them via some other medium, such as post. So no, I don't think they are to blame for your phone bill. You are, by being tardy and leaving it until you knew they would be busy.I left it extremely late to renew the credits as the dead line was approaching soI know they would be busy.0

hammyman - thanks for pointing that out.
I called sky and they credited my account based on the amount of calls made.
Viktory - Thanks for your input, but not helping, if i'd listened to you, i'd be £55 worse off.
Hammyman, you a star : )

I had to contact them recently and it took me fours days to get through.I have to contact them again next week and dredding it.
The problem was that it kept asking you to press all the options and THEN it said they were busy. Why couldnt they say that first.

I am so unhappy. I sorted out my tax credits last month. Received last months okay and received a letter stating this months would be in my bank on 14th Sept. It did not arrive and I cannot get through to them as they are busy and say call back later or look online. There is nothing online which will help my problem. Three of my DD have now been returned. I am so fed up and work during the day so can only call during the so called busy times. I have nothing to live on except credit card which I don't like to use as single parent with two young children.0

The flipping cheeky gits. Yeah, 0845 is local call rate and on most "free local call" packages, they're included now since BT included them in theirs.0 -
I'm with virgin media and my call costs came to over £35, made a complaint to HMRC and awaiting the outcome as to whether I get a refund for them.
(I was trying to report a change of circumstance which I wanted put on my claim right away)0 -
