Hi Rocks
I have only recently started having Aplro Yogs and I LOVE them :T They are SO yummy. I also started having Samasas, bhaja (sp?) and Spring rolls. They just make a change and are cheep and quick to cook.
I NEVER eat pasta (except tinned spag hoops ) or rice but perhaps I should try it again. I'd like to have a go at Tappys Sheperds Pie but I cant find where she posted it  I'll keep looking.
Have a good day Matey xxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Skooz me while I think out loud for a mo.....
I was pretty good yesterday, a couple of slices of HM granary & scrape of lemon curd--no butter! ...individual chicken pie & dozen [or thereabouts] oven chips....bowl of ice cream with grated choc & dribble of strawberry sauce....there must have been more cuz I felt ready to explode around 10pm _pale_ So I had a small bowl of cornflakes with full fat milk, in the hopes it would do its magic this morning:o It usually has the same effect as a dose of syrup of figs on me, so if I disappear....DON'T come after me:eek: :rotfl:
I thought I was going to watch Doc Martin at 9 last night, but then those two "fashion experts" came on & a lot of channel flicking before I caught a bit about them trying to buy larger size clothes....did anyone see it cuz I got out-voted by the offspring:wall: Why choose MY programmes to practise democracy:mad: I obviously taught them too well:pFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Good Morning Ladies and Gent :hello:
Good morning frogga, hope I'm not the only gent, but i'm sure there are more flocking to us daily
Had a wobble last night but vry pleased to say I didn't fall off. Mr Frog came home from a 15hr day in a FOWL mood and shouted at me when he thought I wasn't listening to his moanI was listening but he thougth I wasn't. Luckily I could recall every single word in perfect order to prove that I was listening (phew!)
Who's betting I got an apology? Save your money
Needless to say when he got in the bath the loaf of freshly baked bread on the kitchen table was calling my name  I did think seriously about having a couple of slices as I'm trying to "have a bit and then stop" but I thought that the mood I was in I would just binge. I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to control it so I was better off avoiding it altogether.
I find the aoidance thing better too - although I do make sure my brain is happy with it - becasue in the past I would just be setting myself up for a binge. A good trick for me is to plan a meal of my special treat the next day - helps keep me in abstincence, but gives my addiction the buzz still.
Am very pleased how I handled it
You did do good girl - high fives all around!!!!!
Taking the Tadpoles to the Flicks today to see "The Mummy" oh joy  We'll go to the 11.30 showing so we can have our lunch there which will help in not wanting sweets and popcorn et.c
In the last few days I have been trying to think of different foods I can have for a more varied diet. I really do tend to have the same thing, day in, day out. Was keen not to spend anymore on my shopping bill but I think that's false economy; if I am very strict I usually end up going back mid week for other things as I've become bored with what I choose the first time. Would be very interested to hear any suggestions from you lot as to diferent thngs I could have :A
I suffer from the swame program frogga, same meals day in - however my sister keeps feeding me different things occasionally and that does help.
Would also like to know what size portions you have with regard to "something on toast" or "soup and bread" If you have beans on toast or Spag hoops for example, how many slices of toast would you have? One or two? Also, if you had a can of soup would you have the whole can or half? and how many peices of bread with your soup? I would always have 2 peices of toast and a whole tin, but the nutritional info on the side gives you details for half a can implying that would be a portion. Mr Frog would have six peices of toast with soup and he's not fat
anyway enough from the frog today, have a good one everyone what ever you do with it
Portions are my nightmare - I ALWAYS want more, and my heart and my head fight every meal of the day..... Ok, I eat soup every day and normally make my own - normally a pea or veg variety. Now on this I DON'T scimp - I make sure I eat alot of it - normally 2 pints or more (around 300 kcals) because I find it fills me up and normally have a piece of bread too. So 400 kcals in all.....
More to come in next few days - love you all - big hugs

Yesterday was totally w/o foodwise, can't face listing it so won't.
Today I will try harder. Have lentil stew in slow cooker so no excuses.

Hiya,
frogga - your OH sounds just like mine - "you're not listening, you're doing something else"
soup : for lunch - whole can every time but with one roll usually
bread: beans on toast for lunch : two slices of bread and half a 400g can of beans.
That's my usual portion sizes
BigMumma - we watched that prog, found it quite interesting. They told and showed the high street shops that to just size up their clothes from a size 8 to a size 22 without changing the cut of the dress isn't flattering. They also suggested wearing fitted jackets that don't (won't) do up and leaving them open to slim down the figure. They then got students to design outfits that showed off the curves and were flattering and it was really interesting and showed them to some of the shops (Evans etc) and they loved the outfits and said it was interesting hearing their point of view. Worth a watch if you can catch it again at all (not sure if they repeat it or if it's on iplayer or anything on the internet at all.
Anyway food wise:
breakfast: soaked oats with raisins and strawberries
Lunch: salmon and sweetcorn roll
Tea: chicken and pepper wraps
Snacks: low fat nana cake, malt loaf.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Morning all,
I have a renewed sense of optimism after my weekend wobble so if I can get a STS for Saturday then I will be delighted. It seems that being off work and baking don't work for me, the structure of a working day really seems to help me stay disciplined and not pick or eat the wrong things so maybe it will be good that I go back next Monday.
B: 2 slices wholemeal toast with light cheese spread
L: Jacket spud with beans or a prawn saladRoast chicken with lots of fresh veg and a splash of gravy
S: No snacks today except fr a skinny coffee
Have a great day all0 -
On a personal note - yesterday was difficult for me. I struggled, but managed to hold myself - just - by counting what I was eating. I set myself a limit on what I can eat and I kept to it - so big hugs to me again.
I just have to remember I will struggle, but also remember every day I don't binge is a sucess and keep positive.
Today's food (maybe just a little different today)
3 wheetabix and milk
Bowl of Tomato soup and 1 piece of fresh bread
Jelly
Yogout and frozen fruit
Fresh pea soup and 1 bread and ham
Just for today I aim to be positive....
Big hugs to everyone on their personal highs and battles
Hugs
