Just under 13 st 3... this is good, I'm okay with that, but as I weighed myself on my own scales beforehand I *know* they're wrong! Drat it, I wasn't going to get myself any new ones but I think I'll have to. It's not fair to try and lose weight when I'm getting an inaccurate result, otherwise how the heck will I know where I am? Opinions please, should I persevere with these ones or bite the bullet (spend money) and buy something accurate?
If you know what your own scales weigh you at and what the drs weigh you at, could you just subtract the difference each time you weigh yourself IYKWIM.
At the end of the day you could just keep using your old scales as what really matters is that you are weighed on the same scales each week (or however often you weigh yourself); as this will still show the correct amount of weight you have lost.
Maybe someone else can explain this better than me.:o
I cooked dinner tonight; salmon fillets, new potatoes, cherry tomatoes & coleslaw. When I was about to put the coleslaw on the plates I thought it looked funny so I tasted it......completely off. I ended up using some Lidl salsa sauce instead; I'm so glad I did as it was really nice & much lower in fat.0 -
Welcome tiddly and biglass:hello: , well done the losers:T and hi everyone else:D
Had my WI yesterday and lost 1lb. I was exstatic(sp?)....BMI 23.5, half a pound from goal weight, although I've decided to drop it by another 3lb so I've got a bit to play with..... and I felt fanflippintastic. Today I CAN'T STOP EATING:eek: !!!!! If they'd flown me out to Beijing for the 'how much carp can you shovel down' comp I'd have brought us back a gold medal no problem!! Here's hoping it's just a 24 hour blip, not a happy bunny with myself today AT ALL......:o0 -
Hello everyone and welcome newbies! I haven't been on the computer the last couple of days - DD2 has had her tent up in the front room so it was really awkward to get to the computer - she has been "camping" in it but has decided to go to her own comfy bed tonight as the novelty has well and truly worn off. I got it for her in Sports Direct for £7 at the weekend, supposedly to put up in the garden as she and her little friends play "Camp Rock" (the new Disney film a la High School Musical), but it has rained non stop since we got it!
Anyway Well done to losers and STSers.
Rockie - sorry you didn't get everything sorted out with your OH - hope you manage to work it out soon.
Nicky - I can only echo others comments on the consolidation loan front. I have one and it is a real pain, particularly as it is so easy to start using the credit cards again once you've paid them off. Hope you manage to raise the money. I have been selling stuff on Amazon lately and made £96 last week, selling books and old DVD's. It's really easy and the buyers pay Amazon and Amazon pay you direct into your bank account, plus you don't have to spend ages listing stuff - you just register and then enter the ISBN numbers of the books or whatever and it lists it for you - you just have to state the condition!
Much better than ebay IMO.
I haven't been bad food wise over the last few days. Not brilliant, but I am not aiming for brilliant at the moment - I am just trying to stop bingeing and starving and that is going well. I have been a bit "moochy" tonight and have nibbled at a bit of a glazed donut and a couple out of a packet of square crisps, but otherwise okay. I made a stir fry tonight with rice noodles - it was quite nice but I don't want stir fry again for a looooooong time!
I went to Asda today and got lots of healthy stuff and resisted the urge to buy ice cream, which is my very favourite thing!
Hope you are all okay and having a good evening.Jane

If your asking, I'd say keep your old pair and save yourself some money. Just make sure you weight yourself ALWAYS on those scales and don't try and get weighed on others - this way any weight loss will be accurate. There is no need to run outside

According to the Wii fit my BMI has gone down slightly since last week! I didn't eat much over the weekend while I was away, and lots and lots of walking. I've eaten well since I came back, probably a bit too well, whoops! But I'm DETERMINED to lose SOMETHING by the end of the month, even if it isn't the whole 4lbs. Hopefully tomorrow I will get back into eating properly and logging what I'm eating too.0

Thanks Kraftykat and Rambler! Having had so many variations on the dratted scales upstairs I'm not sure I trust them :rotfl:I'm still thinking about trying to squeeze out the pennies for a new set but I haven't made a decision yet.
For dinner tonight, we had pasta and potatoes with tuna and onion. Then I finished my mint aero, and I've just had a snack of half a slice of toast with chicken liver pat!. That's it for me tonight I think.

Good Morning Ladies and Gent :hello:
Had a wobble last night but vry pleased to say I didn't fall off. Mr Frog came home from a 15hr day in a FOWL mood and shouted at me when he thought I wasn't listening to his moanI was listening but he thougth I wasn't. Luckily I could recall every single word in perfect order to prove that I was listening (phew!)
Who's betting I got an apology? Save your money
Needless to say when he got in the bath the loaf of freshly baked bread on the kitchen table was calling my name  I did think seriously about having a couple of slices as I'm trying to "have a bit and then stop" but I thought that the mood I was in I would just binge. I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to control it so I was better off avoiding it altogether. Am very pleased how I handled it
Taking the Tadpoles to the Flicks today to see "The Mummy" oh joy  We'll go to the 11.30 showing so we can have our lunch there which will help in not wanting sweets and popcorn et.c
In the last few days I have been trying to think of different foods I can have for a more varied diet. I really do tend to have the same thing, day in, day out. Was keen not to spend anymore on my shopping bill but I think that's false economy; if I am very strict I usually end up going back mid week for other things as I've become bored with what I choose the first time. Would be very interested to hear any suggestions from you lot as to diferent thngs I could have :A
Would also like to know what size portions you have with regard to "something on toast" or "soup and bread" If you have beans on toast or Spag hoops for example, how many slices of toast would you have? One or two? Also, if you had a can of soup would you have the whole can or half? and how many peices of bread with your soup? I would always have 2 peices of toast and a whole tin, but the nutritional info on the side gives you details for half a can implying that would be a portion. Mr Frog would have six peices of toast with soup and he's not fat
anyway enough from the frog today, have a good one everyone what ever you do with it

Morning folks :hello:
I was reasonable last night, I had 2 yoghurts and then 2 corn cakes with a scrape of peanut butter but I didn't pile it on as I would have done once upon a time
At least I was entertained last night when my skanky neighbours had a 'domestic' and the police arrived:rotfl: They carted him off despite her loud, drunken objections :rotfl: so we might have a couple of days peace and quiet
Then when OH got home very late he said his train had caught fire in the station :rotfl: so they had to abandon ship and wait for the next one! Fingers crossed we get some news on the job front today :rolleyes2
Frogga - do you eat soya yoghurts? They're very tasty as a snack. I'm not vegan but I do try to avoid wheat and dairy if I can. Beans on toast - I have half a big tin and 2 slices of bread but I only butter one, soup I only have HM but always a big bowl with 1 thick slice of bread. Have a look at the Veg Soc or the Vegan Soc websites for ideas, they have some tasty recipes on there.
I've had 2 boiled eggs and rye toast for brekkie, I have salad, hummus and oatcakes for lunch and probably minted pea and potato cakes with broad beans for tea.
I have to shop on the way home, OH has given me HALF the housekeeping this month
so I think a large consignment of value beans and value white tasteless bread is on the menu for someonewhile I (and the cat) will continue with healthy eating
If the weather stays dry I'll go out for a walk at lunchtime.
