ooohh shiny new thread. Well I've been useless as normal. I'm going to get myself organised to shift a few pounds. Think I'm going to get back on the ww bandwagon as I need the points allowance to work out my portions and telling myself that slice of bread and butter will do no harm:rolleyes:

I've been weighed this evening and I've lost 1 lb

I have no idea how as I haven't been trying very hard. It was a good surprise as I thought I'd put on about 3lbs. I haven't been near my own scales to check.

Well done to anyone else who has lost, and hello to all the new people :j

I have my eye on the slimming world curry book next, but oddly it's selling (or not as the case may be) for more than you can buy it from direct from Slimming world, and they're charging more postage than SW too. What a cheek!

MrsM, you should do full board holidays, we'd all be queuing up to come and stay. I love the sound of your yummy meals.

This thread looks like it will suit me recipes and lots of support but then I have no excuse not to do well now.
I meant to ask do you have a set day for weighing in?

Everyone chooses their own day to weigh in then posts up here whether they have lost, gained or stayed the same (STS) so Toni can put it in her fab table that lives on the first page of the topic. It helps Toni to skim posts if you can put your weigh in (WI) in bold coloured letters :D

Welcome to all the newbies, good luck all

I am off to lie down because my bum feels like its going to drop off, just got back from swimming :rotfl:
  • Nice loss pebbles, well done you!:T

Hello and welcome to all our newbies:hello:

frogga, nooooooo, probably best if the blue fleecy doesn't go anywhere near your new job:eek: !! It's 5 weeks until 1st Sept... give yourself a couple of weeks to see what drops off, you could be a whole size smaller by then and you'll still have plenty of time for shopping!

Got the old bathroom flooring up and squashed into the bin which saved a trip to the skip, not as difficult as I'd thought but in this heat.... we're not talking gentle glow here ladies, more like good old fashioned sweat by the bucketload!! It would have cost a fortune to go to one of those posh places to get the same effect in a sauna or steam room ... I did it for nowt in the privecy of my own home so very MSE!:D

    see you tomorrow

Congratulations to the losers and welcome to the newbies.

Have had a great weekend...weather was super, bbq 3 nights in a row for dinner, including to-night, not posting my eats as there was a considerable amount of wine and sugary stuff consumed! Back to basics to-morrow

    Sleep well all

Hi everyone, can I join you?

I need to lose at least 4 stone but I am going to break it into bitesize chunks. I lost 3 stone 4 years ago but it has crept back on!!

One of my problems is going too long between meals & eating late at night. so I'm going to try to be more organised.

I've started veggie growing again after a long break so that should help.

    So today I've had:

B: Fruit & fibre with skimmed milk (weighed my portion this morning &
realised I've been kidding myself how much I've had!!)

    Mid Morn snack: banana

L: Prawn salad with HG lettuce, tomatoes & cucumber followed by forest fruits set in SF raspberry jelly

    Snack: grapes

Tea: (Tesco) low fat pate on toast (HM bread)

My short term goal is to lose 1/2 stone by the end of August.

    Off to bed now
