I still haven't had a call. If it's genunie mistake then fair enough but some comms would be nice, especially as they've still got my moneyBet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

Not so much as making a point , I am simply trying to point out how Homebase/Argos will try and wing it.
They know they are in error and that (in these particular circumstances) any court will almost certainly find against them.
They have access to probably some of the best legal brains in the Country so will be well aware of the position. They are simply applying a business logic to the situation otherwise knows as the best cheapest solution.
They know the vast majority of those that purchased this item will allow themselves to be fobbed off with a dodgy set of T+C's explanation and a 10% voucher (which incidentally entices you into their store to spend more, this may be a breach of consumer law in its own right). The odd few that are prepared to chase harry and progress it further will in time get their shed at the advertised price and will have their costs returned to them for having to follow this action.
End of the day it's a win win situation for Homebase. They dropped a massive clanger but have fobbed 98% of the people off with a voucher where they will still enter and spend money in thier stores. The remaining 2% they can afford to 'buy off'.0 -
and a 10% voucher
I think most/all only entered into this because of the mis-price and would have gladly took the shed at the "wrong" price.
It was a bit of fun, a no-brainer. It would have been good to get the shed, but for me it wasn't expected and I'll not be taking this further - unless my voucher doesn't arrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you think it would be a bit cheeky giving someone a £10 Homebase voucher as a Xmas present???????????Or do you think this is too much!!!!!

Or how about I thank them for taking my money when they had no intention of carrying out the transaction.Credit Card Debt

£10 voucher on its way over to me too... just had my call.
Quite pleased with that... it would have been nice to get the shed but it's a nice gesture by homebase to send out the voucher... they didn't have to do it.Hating Hastings Direct!0 -
I had a missed call from an unknown number yesterday, no message left. Nothing since, no email, nada. Considering I paid Sunday afternoon and the money is out of my account it's taking the p- a little, IMHO. If they're going to cancel the order then an email would be nice, even if the email just said that they will be calling to follow it up. I don't know if I should be out shopping for a different shed (as I am in dire need) or hang in there to see what they say. Arg!Comper and general cheapskate0

Me too so I phoned to ask - and was told I will get a call to 'arrange delivery' before 17th Aug.
No mention of the misprice.. no email... no voicemail...
The fact that they will not put anything in writing or recorded on voicemail makes me think they just want as many people to accept a refund as possible as they are not putting in writing you will have a refund end of....0
