it's all smoke and mirrors tho, my hair is poker straight, this is clever use of straightners (she can curl it like curling a ribbon with scissors) and LOTS of product!

Just updated my sig as I bought milk and bread since I last updated it. My week starts again on Monday but won't be realistic as I will be in hospital at the end of the week, my children will be with my parents and I'm not sure if DH will eat here or with my folks.
This evening I was feeling lazy so we had HM veg chilli from the freezer with rice, Value tortilla chips (approx 18p per bag) and some sour cream.
Tomorrow we will eat with my parents as they've been away all week.
Sunday: red peppers/mushroom in a rissotto.
I will shop on Monday and we'll have the following main meals:
Mon/Tue/Wed:
- I plan to HM bean burgers with tinned peas and croquette potatoes that I have in already.
- Cheesy potato bake with baked beans.
- Cranks Vegetable crumble, I've not made this before but printed it from their website last night.
That is is, I don't need to plan for the next few days then when I am home we have a few HM meals in the freezer.
At the start of the week I was worried about how much food was going to cost this week as DS was continually asking for food such as School bars. Inspired by the OS boards I'v been baking again. Both children have loved helping and have enjoyed the treats that they've made.
We will do some more Hobnobs at the weekend but I think I'll reduce the sugar and add some raisins.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
Wow! Amazing hair Ifonly
I have been to Lidl and Aldi today, got enough in for a week for the cats, probably 10 days to 2 weeks for me, so hopefully on target to stay within budget0 -
Hi,
I have spent a while in the background reading bits on the forum and decided that this challenge is definitely a good idea for me!
If not too late could I please be added at £60 for the month?
I don't know what I normally spend but think it is way over that.

Love the hair IOIWE! I am having mine cut tomorrow, mine tends to grow out instead of down and it is a mess.
I have a confession - I work for a famous pie manufacturer, and as a result my freezer is full of pies, as we get them free. I don't particularly like them, and when I eat one, I just pull all the middle out of it and leave the pastry. They also give me a dodgy stomach.
So...do I throw them out? I feel I should *but* they were free and it would be wasting food...but then I probably won't eat them anyway, and I can just get one fresh if I actually fancy a pie...We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Welcome Debz66!
IOIWE-I agree your hair looks beautiful.....started thinking how you'll glide down the aisle to your future MS hubby (great he's on your side).
BigBird-Then I started thinking of your wedding by the tower...with the beautiful views..
Herbacholic..Then started thinking of the wedding of Lord and Lady Herbacholic..
Then I was dreaming of my wedding picnic... sad isn't it!!
Well its been a NSD and our recipe of Tasty Pasta Bake was delicious..we enjoyed cooking it together.. and it was really tasty and I was so proud of myself because I don't generally eat chillis!!
Have a great evening!!

Hello,
thanks angelnikki for updating lists,
I was very disappointed with my July GC so have spent hours going through all last months receipts & working out how to cut down more. Bread is the first thing that's obvious have been buying branded for years & just realised today that co op sandwich loaf is less than half the price of hovis , at 3 loaves a week I should be able to save over £2.00 on bread alone. DD at a summer playcamp for next 3 weeks so I'm supplying packed lunches as per usual. Kids being rewarded with 5 points for each portion of fruit they bring in & DD in the lead already, just a shame our carrots, raspberries & apples on the allotment not ready yet - it's costing me a fortune  .
Overspent on everything last month & convinced it's due to shopping at Mr. T & being suckered into buying all sorts of unnecessary stuff. Anyway as it's the hols & no rigid schedules to stick to am going to use local co op as much as poss; we can walk / ride bikes there & will only buy what we need. I'm very interested to see how it works out. Did my first shop today & spent £20.01p - got sliced loaf, 3 baguettes, 1 focaccia, 2lt squash, 4pts milk, 4 eggs, big lump of cheese, salad, bananas, apples, 6 boxes raisins, pack of ham, 2packs choc biscs & 1 tub ice cream.
Meeting friends for a picnic tomorrow & hoping to NOT buy anything else other than an ice cream / lolly... will confess tomorrow
lula x0
