Good Morning:)
The wedding yesterday was fab!! I caught up with some friends from primary school, and it was lovely to see how their lives have panned out!
Lots of comments on my £4 suit!! And there was a retired bus driver there who said I hadnt changed a bit from school....he said its funny how some people change after they leave school, but you mygirl!! just look the same, that was 15 years ago!! lol since then I have had 4 kids hence my posting name and believe me an awful lot has happened since then!! I took it as a compliment:) His wife backed him up with something like, I would be so proud to have a daughter like you, you have been through the mill, and your still standing where a lot of people would have crumpled! So I came home at around 10pm and I told my mum what had happened, and she simply said we are more proud of you than you will ever know, you are our strongest daughter (I have 5 sisters) so it was quite a highly charged emotional day!! Right enough about that!!
Im going to do a stock take of the cupboards and freezer today.
The washing machine has been on since 6am
A huge pile of ironing needs to be done also:(
At lunch time I am going to sit down with the kids and see what sort of lists they have made for shopping (their ingredient lists for baking)
And meal plan for the coming week!!:)
I hope this works, as I am really trying to cut costs in the household!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -
Good Morning All ,, Up early as the cat wanted to go out and wouldnt take no for an answer,,,have to get up as he is a bit senile and could do it anywhere,,not that he has yet,but I dont want to find out,,

Been meaning to post this, have you seen Simon's cat on you tube? Three cartoons, first is about the cat that want to wake him up.
Started month's shopping. Took DD to work as she was bored, cost me 4.95 for lunch and drinks that I could have taken with me.
Tesco last night, not a whoopsie in sight, I don't think there are ever many at that one, but the next one is about 12 miles away.
Did my list from mysupermarket, expected under 40 pounds, but managed to spend 56.40. Unplanned was Vimto and pringles, (still, the kids did help me, they took a trolley and went off to get their nan's stuff so I could keep it separate and save a bit of time) more F&V, a big piece of cheese and chocolate (for baking needs only).
Signed up to e.on price capped energy while I was there too, not sure if I have done the right thing, will now try to check before it is too late.
Had a row with DH when we got home, he had made no effort to prepare the meal even though I had left the fish out to defrost and it was 9.30 when we got home. Didn't even help to bring the shopping in, then he stormed off to bed when I made a comment.
Have washed towels and dishwasher been on this morning, so deciding what to do while the next wash is on.
Need some help with cheese scones. DD had been asking for them for ages but I had not attempted them for over 20 years. Now I know why! They were solid and heavy, any ideas about a) what can I do with them and b) how can I make them better next time, or not bother.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi Everyone!!
Will have to pop into Mr T today to pick up a few bits. Going to Norfolk with my sister and niece.
I always find that when I go away with my family I lose control of what I'm eating. It won't effect my GC as I have separate money but its chips, chips, chips and lots of pressure to not be fussy and just eat the chips.
So I'm taking lots of bits with me including raisins. And If I don't want to eat all of my chips..I won't but I will feel guilty about the waste.
Hope you all have a great day!!!

Hi All,
Just got back from Mr. T's and spent £37.04 for my weekly shop. It could have been a bit cheaper as I bought a jar of sauce (making lasagne this week and can't do two sauces!) and bought DS some milkshakes on the spur of the moment. I also bought a few tins of chopped tomatoes (blue stripe) but then realised I had quite a few in the cupboard already! oh well they'll get used
Does anyone know how much you have to spend to get till spits? I was surprised not to get one....

SFT, you can ask for a half portion at any chippy, maybe that'll help with the waste side of things? It's so annoying when people try and make you eat things you don't want to  Hope you have fun anyway xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
