Just nipped on to update sig as spent £1.99 in local shop (£1.01 on raisins for DS and £0.98 on coconut as ran out making bounty bites!)- NSD did not happen but tomorrow will be (unless I spend the 61p lol).
£39.39/£40 spent for wk1, which am happy with for the first week. Staying in tomorrow and then shiny new budget starts on Sunday.
It is so awful here that washing came in wetter than it went out, and its bloomin cold too ,

Please may I try. My last few shops have averaged at about £150 a week so I'm going to try and get down to £130 a week which works out at £650. Hopefully I will spend less than that; but I'm going to start small as in the past I have been way to optimistic. The £650 will include toiletries, cleaning products and the odd ice cream when we are out.0

Hi all,
NSD for us today.
I have some puff pastry lurking in the fridge, which need using up. I am not sure what to do with it. Done pizza wheels and cheese sticks with it before, but the kids and hubby are getting tired of it.
Any ideas, what I can do with it?
Egon
not sure how many answers you've received to this - haven't read on yet!
Sausage rolls? Remove the meat from the skins and do it that way (2 sausages make 3 long s/rolls, I find) - veggie ones usually okay to put in 'as is'
Cheese & veggie tarts - square of pastry, cut around it about a cm in, not going all the way to the bottom. Brush with milk, cook briefly then push the centre square down and top with stuff. I like mozarella & toms & basil, but it works with lots of stuff. Put back in oven briefly.
Sugared twists? Beaten egg and demerara sugar. Naughty but nice!
