  • Hi all,
haven't been on here for a few days (and my wallet is feeling it!) :S
Had a lazy week and have bought lunch a few times but looks like I'm still coming in under budget :) New month starts tomorrow.
I'm declaring at 127.06 for August (my first month)
    :j
Think I'll be doing something slightly different for next month (combining food and entertainment budgets somehow) so can you please put me down for 168 for September.
Thanks to everyone for all the support, ideas and inspiration:)

Well I'm going to be a bit over budget this month as it's been an odd day.
Had an interview for a redeployment job this morning at 10am, duly arrived but they person who had arranged the iterview had gone on leave and not passed on the message to his collegue. Consequently I have to wait until next week until they can arrange another time. Wasted journey but at least I had been able to find a 2 hour free parking place!!!

Anyway took the car off for a new tyre - police check yesterday, bad tracking, tyre bald on the inside edge, nearly new tyre:eek: While the guys were working on the car I popped to the shopping parade next door and found a lovely little butchers. Don't you sometimes find the nicest people in the most unexpected places:D So my budget has been blown with a nice piece of gammon whch I have done in the slow cooker this afternoon and will slice up for sandwiches when it is cold.

I have another interview tomorrow for a job that I don't thi I stand a hope in H*ll of getting but a least it is a 9am so I won't be spending all day worrying about it.

I am going to MrA's later tonight (DD1 works there and I will be giving her a lift home) and I new washing powder. I opened my last box on 31st May - lge Smartprice which I added a bag of soda crystals to so I think that was quit a good run really.

Anyway I have heaps of washing up to do so off I go.

    Have a good evening everyone.

Another spend day - £9.34- I'm starting to feel sick about the remaining 22 days until payday. I'm going to devour this thread to see if I can stay on track.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Twins have been shopping this week, and I am not sure exactly what was spent yesterday, but there was some change out of £20, but then I added another £5 to that for shopping today. I have 69p change!! So amend my total accordingly.

I've done spending for this month and am now over on the shiny new September challenge thread all ready to start for next month :) I blew the planned budget a little this month but I just can't help but pick up BOGOFS! Next month'll be different as I have my vouchers to use in Mr T. :)

See you all in the September thread :)

Never mind didn't make it this month but not by much and I reckon I have about 12 meals in the freezer so... over to September to put my new challenge down.
