    Hi all

I haven't been on for a few weeks as been so busy with kids/house work and all the normal stuff.
Plus I keep loosing my internet connection.
I am still well under my 200 limit for my shopping for the month but I have spent loads. 53 pound so far on my sons school uniform, and still got more to get. (he goes up to senior school)

I have a few recipes to add when I have more time, may be tomorrow
    Hope everyone is well

Hiya guys, loads going on here yesterday, it's taken me ages to catch up, not helped by the fact my comp has slowed down considerably:confused::confused:
Another NSD for me yesterday that makes 10 this mth:j:j:j:j

It's been real MSE here as we have been given a lovely fishpie left over from OH's work lunch, a couple of the guys take it in turns to cook something and everyone puts money in the kitty:money:
There was enough for tea last night, lunch later today and maybe even a bit for a snack, not freezing any as OH say's he's not sure if it has already been frozen:confused:
Wont be good for my SW but tastes blooming great, might ask for the receipe:T

Well off to bed now, hopefully get on here earlier to morrow,
Welcome to all newbies, luck to those who need it:D

  • Morning all - I was very naughty yesterday and we had fish & chips for dinner - got home at 6.30pm and had a committee meeting at 7.30, and just felt lousy and couldn't be asked to cook, so grabbed some chippy chips when hubby got in just after seven, woofed that down and out again for meeting - £8.50 to add to total...

Mama67 - you are much more organised than me - I try to save them but either end up loosing or spending anyway, so this will be a great way for me to get a 'lump sum' of vouchers next year...

Moniker - thanks for the update on the bleach - I would have been worried that it might rot the clothes, but will certainly try it - if I put it into the machine and then switched it off to soak, would that work? I don't have anywhere that I can soak stuff in... (and thanks to whoever said about ecover too, really sorry forgot to take note of name...)

schueys_girl - welcome to the thread - they are a great bunch on here (usually :D ) and always ready to help when you need it. As someone mentioned, check out the index on the first page of this thread (blue bar at the top, then just below it will give you page numbers for this thread - click on first...) Loads of tips and recipies on there - not always good if you're trying to loose any weight thought as they are all scrummy...

Slightly off topic, I take it you're a Michael Schumacher fan then? Hubby loves motor racing (on this weekend again, so guess where he'll be?) and DS does karting (when we have time and can afford it  )...

OK, back on topic, need a couple of things today but not much so hopefully just a small spend... will update when I get home tonight... have a great day everyone THINKING OF YOU IOIWE!

And can anyone remember the recipe that uses packets of pasta in various SIZE=1]dried[/SIZE sauces plus cottage cheese I think  I wasn't convinced it would be something we would eat so didn't copy the recipe at the time, but got the pasta at a really good price. We eat cheddar with no probs; .

Really really sorry if this has already been posted - I try to keep up with the thread but it grows so fast, I have to skim some pages...:rotfl:

... and thank you to whoever posted this in the first place.. I copied it into a file so don't have the name, but thank you..
    • 1 packet pasta and sauce (we use the cheese & broccoli one) - make it according to the instructions and use it to make the bottom layer in a lightly oiled (frylight !!) quiche/flan dish and allow to cool a bit.
    • Stick in some chopped veg - peppers, tomatoes, onions, etc etc - whatever you like best.
    • Mix together one tub of low fat cottage cheese with 3 beaten eggs (I give it a quick zizz with a hand blender to smooth the lumps a little)
    • Pour onto the pasta layer, grate about 25g of cheese on top and put in the oven for about half an hour until puffed up and golden on top.
    And it is very tasty!!

Still havent done any major shopping. Spent another £1.74 on Cabbage and carrots for the tea yesterday. But will have to do a proper shop soon!!
Menu plan went out the window this month. But still have money in the pot for the shopping.
Havent managed to get on here much but signature gets updated. (mostly), if I am not sure I will add a bit rather than subtract.

    Hi all
Another NSD yesterday so 3 in a row - amazing as DD is now at home & always wants to pop to the shops as she's BORED! Luckily she's still very tired after her week away, still catching up on sleep.

Many thanks to all those who have given advice re the missing kitty - DD has made a poster with a photo & today will go & put them through doors/pin them up & hopefully someone might have seen her. She is neutered so not straying because of love interest - at least I don't think so - but she's a pedigree cat & not used to going out, so maybe someone has nabbed her? Will also (gulp!) ring the vets & animal shelters, feel so guilty because she didn't have a collar or a chip - they never go out as they are both indoor cats....till she escaped..

On the GC did a massive chilli last night bulked out with grated carrot & oats, will do for at least 4 meals for the 3 of us. Desperately need to see what's in the freezers - loads of stuff, can't get the lids shut, am still adding up receipts for this month now I've found them so will update sig eventually!

All the best to IOIWE - chose the best day in the week weather wise so a really good omen for the future.

    Morning all :D

Will have to go to LIDL tonight  ... we need some water... i have cheered myself by counting how many plastic bottles i have to take back for their refunds (what an exciting life i lead :p )...we have 36 bottles @25c deposit -so €9 to come back..so if i only pick up 3 packs of water i won't have to spend a cent ... and that will include paying the deposits on them too :T .... so i can still declare 6 NSDs in a row :j I am getting a serious allergy to spending money  :rotfl: ....
Hubby is happy too as he has 3 beer crates to return and again the deposit he gets back will buy him another crate :T -not that beer comes out of the housekeeping ;)

Dinner tonight is going to be pasta , im making a sauce from some leftover gammon, courgettes, chillies and tomatoes from the garden and then mushrooms, peppers and peas from the freezer.... I have managed to use quite a few of the annoying odds n sods up out of the fridge/freezer this last week.... you know -the last spoon of cream cheese in a tub, that part tin of sweetcorn... they drive me mad..so i love using them up out of the way

    IfOnlyItWasEasier...have a great day :D

right im back off to my x stitch-its tipping it down here -so im going to have a whole day of sewing/knitting :D
    Have a great day everyone
