A bit OT know but just a quickie to let all who were interested - kitty is BACK:T I had already phoned vets/cat rescue etc & was steeling myself to phone the council who collect the ones from the side of the road, was in the kitchen & heard a little meow....there she was in the porch! Missing 5 days but she hasn't been living rough although she has been eating/drinking a lot (& asking to go out again!!)
To get this back on topic I was in the kitchen making minestrone (sp?) from all the bits & bobs in the fridge. Turned out pretty well & very filling with a roll of artisan bread, yummy. Now need to see if I can find anything to make for dinner - big bag of stir fry about to go off so I should use that, trouble is I don't want to make the chinese-type thingy, any ideas anyone?? Could mean another NSD on the cards if i resist the temptation to go to the shops.
BTW my chilli plants are storming along, still green but there are loads of them. I do despair of getting a ripe tomato though, never seem to get any sun for long enough.....New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -

I've totally blown the budget this month, I'm declaring at 285.54  All those hospital canteen trips affected the budget more that I thought.
Next month, can you put me down for £260 please.
Off to Eurodisney this weekend, so enjoy the weekend. Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0 -
Right have to declare another failure this month - but not as bad as the month before
My September started today (with rather too much shopping) but at least I still have petrol in the car so hopefully that budget should go well this month.
So £350 budget for September please.
Already have meals for most of the week and two months worth of toothpaste, three weeks worth of loo rolls. Hoping to do better this month.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I spent £5 in Mr M's on some 50p bits, some mushrooms and tomatoes, DH still has to go to Mr T tonite too so am sailing pretty close to my budget  but I know that I could have gotten away with not buying alot of stuff this month so hopefully next month I will be more focused
Counting the NSD does help me to focus on whether I need to spend or just want to spend, which is good.
On another note, I have just booked an appointment to have a consultation for laser eye surgery  am so scared but really want it done, so hopefully the appointment will allay my fears somewhat! Off for a coffee as I am shaking after booking that :rotfl:Sealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

My DH had it done 6 years ago - and has never looked back. Well worth the (gulp!) £2500 it cost us then - I believe it's cheaper now;) You won't regret it I'm sure

Hi,
I am only going to be starting to lower my shopping bill from £24 per sunday to £15 for September, so can I be down for £60 for September 2008. Pretty please. Going to try to hit the magic £10 in October.

yay sashanut - I'm so pleased for you.
£1.29 for me today on bread and MrT Gale's lemon curd.
Off to browse through the recipes on here. How do you all keep them? I started copying into Word and putting into a folder but I'm a bit of a dinosaur with IT so there might be a quicker way0 -

Erm I work in IT and still copy em into word and print them out into a folder
Easy to do a file search for a recipe on the pc if I can't find the recipe in the folder.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
