sorry if I caused some confusion - it's not the Now magazine but the news of the world from this past Sunday which had a moc for £5 off £30 at Mr T.

I was aware of the News of the World coupons but poor brain did not compute NOW= News of the World lol (considers returning to bed to wake up and start today all over again).:o:o:o:o I did think it strange that Now mag would have Tesco vouchers though  . On the NOW note has anyone seen the comp in NOW today- looks good if you could win it lol (no point me entering though as Asda coupons are no good to me!).
Hoping for a GC NSD, might pop out depending on my back altough tbh after carrying th bin bag over to the tip and now about to hang out washing best to take it easy. Its not so sore today but still not great (just seems better cos it was so sore yesterday). Might manage some more exercises today when its more bearable :T.

Hullo all…logged in to report £9.44 spent on kitchen roll, loo roll, handwash, chapattis and reduced bread at Asda.
Normally non-groceries don’t come out of the GC fund but have run out of other funds.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

schueys_girl wrote: »Hi All! I'm brand new here and loving these forums. What has promted me to join is that in a month or so my boyfriend and I will be moving into our very own flat
We are so excited but we have had the luxury of lving with my parents and therefore not having to do too much. We help around house etc but we dont get chance to do any food shopping or cooking etc as the kitchen is really moms and she is happy to do it...
...so my first question is what is a reasonable weekly food shop budget for two people? We are not overly picky and i want to be reasonably healthy. We do not smoke and are not huge drinkers so this does not need to be factored in.
Also I am going to need a huge amount of help on meal planning and cooking...i really dont know where to start with cooking and am a little scared as I want to be healthy and be able to cook things confidently without faffing and worrying
Also finally any tips at all for when you first move out of home on bugeting or anything would be brilliant. If you want more info on rent and things i need to budget for i am more than happy to post on here for the help.
Thank you all and I look forward to hearing from you and more posting
The only way i can offer anything back to you all at the minute is if any of you have any motorsport interests or queries as I am a huge motorsport fan and am a motorsport lecturer at a collegeThank you all xx[/quote]
Hi and welcome to the thread - you must be a dream girlfriend being a motorsports lecturermy boys would be impressed
There's a budget planner somewhere on here that you can put in all your incomings and outgoings that I find very helpful - will try and find you a link. There's two of us - me and DS age 19 - we are working on £150 a month at the moment, we eat meat 3-4 times a week and veggie the other days. This doesn't include his lunches and he doesn't eat breakfast but he is prone to midnight feasts. You might spend more at first though as you will need to stock up on cleaning stuff and basic stuff like oil, spices, sauces, pasta, flour etc. I find it easier to work out a rough menu plan then look at the recipes and make a list of all the stuff I need before I go shopping. If I don't plan I just buy things at random and then nothing goes together and I have to keep popping to the local shop which is quite expensive.0 -
There is a link to the budget planner at the top of this thread.

Hello and welcome Mrs Haynes, there's loads of links to recipes on the first page. Its a good idea to get a budget sorted before you have the little one. If you follow some of the ideas for batch cooking you will be able to have a freezer full of easy meals ready for when life gets hectic.0
