A NSD for me
:j:j Just tomorrow to go and I won't feel quite so guilty about my massive overspend come the next financial week.
My DD is going away on Friday to Ex's until Sunday, usually this would result in my popping to Asda for some treats like a ready meal or two BUT this time I'm going to live on stuff thats already in...if I go out then I'm going to keep the spending to a minimum.Oh and BAKE ALOT while she's away. She likes to help but I get in such a mess without her contributing too. I plan on making some 2lb loaves (just the dough mix) in the breadmaker and then bake them off, either whole or as buns, in the oven between batches of cakes & quiche, and 1 batch of jam tarts.
I now have a food processor so will be making the most of that as well if I can
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Morning!
Thanks to whoever mentioned leek and potato soup - have tons of potatoes and onions and will only need to get some leeks - will create on the weekend!
R x
I have made quite an interesting soup just using potatoes, onionsand garlic, water and stock powder.
But I'm of the 'yes' soup brigade (when asked what is in it,reply is yes:rotfl: )

Hello everyone
I disappeared off the radar early in July. I can't cope with my 2 boys at home in the school holidays  so we've been going to my Mum's Monday to Thursday each week so that's really messed up my GC. Even for weekends it's impossible to plan meals or buy efficiently. Plus Mum keeps sneaking salmon and meat into the freezer, so that's a bit of a cheat too.
Anyway I'm still here and still totting up my spends. I gather Mrs Mcawber is back, glad to see that. If you're keeping track of everyone this month Mrs Mc, I'm here with a budget for August of £180 again, even though it's artificial
.
My July spend, for the record, was £165.89.0 -
Morning All
Have just updated my signature as popped into town yesterday - mainly spent at Superdrug for toiletries which I include in the grocery budget.
Seems to be going too well this month but next week will be a biggy as we are having a party.0 -
Morning, hoping for another NSD today;) We'll see...
Kaat lady - hope Archie is comfortable, he is a very handsome cat.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
