Morning all, beautiful day here again, taking dd over to her friend today, the one who stayed here during the week, dd is going there for two nights, it is nice and peaceful but I do miss her
. Any hoo oh and I will go for a long walk along the river, which meets the sea and a beautiful pub at the end, we sit in the gatden and watch the sea birds, we will have a drink and maybe some lunch, then wander back along the river.
I have a chicken to cook for tonight, but depending on what we have for lunch I might leave it for tomorrow, its too hot for the oven anyway.
We went walking yesterday and only managed two hours, we were stopping every few mins for a drink, and little dog was sooo hot.
Fizzl sorry the kiwi trick did not work, it works every time with me

Good Morning All. Another fabulous day here too.
Washing drying on line. Our lovely cat (aged 16 now) took herself out of our bedroom window last night and then remembered that she can no longer jump down from the conservatory roof - nor up again to the bedroom! So, for a few hours I could hear her as she wandered from conservatory to garage roof and back again.... This am DH tried to coax her within reach, but naturally no go! he decided he'd have to get the ladder out when he gets back from church (he's the organist so had to go!) - meanwhile my lovely neighbour has done just that and after about half an hour coaxed her down. She's now tucking into her breakfast! Just hope she remembers next time! This is the second time it's happened.
PenPin - hope all goes well for the next couple of days at the hospital, look forward to having you back asap.
Claero - (HUGS) to you, and o anyone else who'd like one. Enjoy the day, folks.Resolution:

Just been looking at houses near me for them to rent, yes i'm interfering, and yes i will carry on doing so:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I am taking DD out soon, so will bend her ear about hjow kids need as nice area to be brought up in etc;)where they live is ok, but is a 1 bed flat up 3 flights of stairs, so not suitable, and the housing assocation stuff in preston is in rough areas, so we can't have that:eek:  God I know i'm a snob but......
Anyway tata for now xxx:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

ooh i'm liking the sound of that.I'm deffo a nana , not a grandma or granny[strike]his mum is a lot older[/strike];)
Candygirl, isn't it funny the associations we put on words/names - my mum wanted to be Grandma (at the age of 46 when my oldest DD was born - 16 years ago, eek!!), partly because most of the great-grandparents were still around & were all Nanny (or Grandad...), and she felt older being a Nan than a Grandma! Lol... Having said that, my DD's all now call her Ma-Ma (mar-mar).
It's scary too, as 2 of my friends have recently had their 14 year old DD's announce they were pregnant...Brings it home that I too could be looking at grandparenthood in the next few years, eeekk!!! I think I'll be known as Fred.

Morning all, hugs to those that need them, and congrats to Candy!
Tis pretty warm here already, 27.4 indoors but the sun's onth e back of the house which means if I open the door to get any air circulation the flies come in. Our room was very hot last night so we didn't sleep well.
I don't have much planned for today except reading more stuff on the OS forum, there's a chicken to roast for later though which will be nice.
Have a nice relaxing day if you can!
Hugs,

Hello all !
Another very warm day............I'm wilting, I really am..................lol
Minor crisis with the boys, well one of them.He went to the coast yesterday, stayed with friends and now hasn't the money for bus fare home so I've send the other one on the bus, with his bus fare..........trouble is, being a Sunday and our transport system assuming no one ever wants to travel on Sundays, the bus back isn't till 4pm !!!
On the plus side..............I've got some peace till then.................lol (unless I get another frantic phone call )
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o ))))))))))))) to all those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
