    Good Morning All

    Candygirl - Congratulations

Good Luck at the hospital PP.

N9eav & Squiggly - we are really lucky here I have the estuary at the end of my road, its a little bay and although there is no beach as such you can swim there when the tide is in, its never busy. Also 10 minutes down the road there is a beach (albeit by the power station) that is never busy, if you walk far enough you can always find a spot on its own - only local people know about it. So we do go down the beach a lot. However when I lived in Leigh I spent more time on the beach in winter when it was peaceful.

Am very hot already, will jump into a cool shower in a min. DS has another friendly football game this morning then we have family coming over so think will probably go out for lunch. This afternoon will be spent in the garden with a trip down to the water about 5pm when the tide is in.

Need to do some paperwork as we want to go out for the day tomorrow so will either attempt that tonight or will get up tomorrow morning very early.

Off to finish my tea, have a great Sunday.

    Morning all,

It's really, really cold here atm. :D Had a late start this morning but managed to make a lemon drizzle cake & some granola. It's been a bit overcast today but got the washing dry as rain is forecast tomorrow . After lunch we went for a walk & I worked out an estimate for YS tax. I'll have to tackle ours in the next week or so. Haven't had a chance to do any sewing or gardening today. Laziness overcame me. :D

So it's sort of been a dull and lazy Sunday over here. Just got a call from DD. She's locked herself out of her unit & the caretakers don't seem to be home. She'll give them a bit longer but may have to come here for the night.

Candygirl Congratulations. It's good fun being a Granny. :D

I'll pop back later. Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Good morning

Well the sun is beating down already - looks like it will be another hot one ;)

Need to stick the BM on in a mo, and wash all the bedding. Also need to tidy and clean both bedrooms (hopefully I will get a hand with that  ).

Just taken some chicken out of the freezer, chicken curry for DH and I, and a mini roast for DD.

Good luck at the hospital P-P

    Congrats Candygirl

Morning all! Yesterday was off the map busy, and it was a bit of a success. Managed toget a few bargains in terms of clothes for the office, and the OH has agreed, nay, suggested that we go and do our weekly shop in Lidl on Wednesday, yay! I shall have much fun decreasing our shopping bill yet again. :D

I bought a potato bag and mushroom bag from Lakeland, in the hope they'll make them last longer, and I am trying desperately to give up caffeine. This is proving to be a very hard task. :( Anyway, I've already succumbed today to a Cola, but I'm trying! I figure I can save myself a load of money if I don't drink so much coke.

Today, I don't know what we've got planned. We might go to the coast (if the weather holds), failing that we might go into town. I've a bit more gardening to do - oh, there's loads of chores to do. We'll get there.

(((hugs))) to all in need and I hope everyone has a good day. I could kind of use a hug myself.

I ate my breakfast sat in the garden this morning, it was lovely. Hubby did a lovely barbi for lunch yesterday, hopefully I can persuade him to do the same today. We also went for a walk beside the river.
I must do some ironing later today, but that's about all I'm planning.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

I used to frequent this board and DFW last year, have arrived back here under a new id as my new circumstances make me easily identifiable.

Anyway I find myself a single Mum now and need to tighten my purse strings aswell as return to the homebaking way of life.

So aside from reaquainting myself into flyladying again today I intend to find the old motivation for recreating culinary delights that this board offers.

Today I will dust off the BM, as the kids seem to be eating me out of house and home in hours, and the holidays have only just begun.

Could take a delve into the freezer and menu plan from that and the store cupboard. But energy and inspiration is low, so babysteps.

Thanks for listening, I hope this thread is the right place to post, mods feel free to move
