Hello.
For some reason have not been on MSE as much recently, but really need to get back on the wagon, finish decluttering and become as money savvy as possible.
It is boiling hot outside today, too hot to stay outside so just browsing.
Hope everyone is well.0 -
Afternoon all
I am tired. Also, don't ask me how, I somehow fell out of the front door yesterday, while trying to save myself from headbutting the fence, I managed to do a 360 turn and ended up grazing my arm and leg against the wall.
We are having a bbq today and going out tomorrow and will need a picnic. We're going to go to Llandudno (apols if I spelt it wrong). This means I can see the sea :j:j:j
So far I have made pasta salad, then needed to make more tom sauce for it as didn't have enough in the freezer, prepared some salmon, made a plum cake and some muffins, made 2 quiches, a dozen rolls, just got the burgers to make now. OH has now gone out to get some soft rolls as mine were crispy and seems like only me likes them. He's just rung to see if I need anymore salad stuff and his daughter is saying she needs pasta salad as doesn't like the look of mine. :mad:whatever!
Nice and hot here, in fact after making the burgers I will retire to the garden with a large glass of wine, done my bit.:D:D:D
Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather and (((hugs))) for those who need one.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Afternoon Oser's.
Very lazy day here at Chaos.
All I seem to have done all day is make cups of tea and plates of food for Mr Twit (ok well a bowl of cereal and a couple of sandwiches)
I have managed to get some washing onto the line and put away a load of towels that I did last night at work.
Mum and I are off to Ikea at 5ish, she wants to look at wardrobes and pick up some bits and bobs to go into a flat that she is letting. I am sorting out tea for Miss & Mr Twit, some fillet steak from the freezer, hopefully mum and I will eat at Ikea. Yum, meatballs  although I've still got a bag lurking in the freezer that I bought last time I was there, oops BBE Aug 2007. Hey ho, sure they'll be fine. I've also got 2 packets of the sauce, so if I get a jar of the berries, that's tea sorted for another night.
Hester, having browsed the booklist, I've not read many of those on it, but I was delighted to see that my favourite book was there Cold Comfort Farm. Give me a shout if you would like to borrow it.
Hugs to those in need, hope Smoky is feeling better and Pixies's LO has gotten over his trapped finger. Dazi, take more water with it next time.
Love to all The Twit. :grouphug:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Well we got back from the mum`s about 3/4 hr ago.(anybody know how to do three quarters or half properly on these keyboards)?
Both worn out sat down on the patio had a low fat ice cream, to help cool down, now drinking a low cal iced lemonade. (if I go on like this I`ll be like a lath....I WISH!!) dont really feel like doing much of anything else, so think I will go veg out for a bit in front of the TV, and get on with some knitting.
DIL asked me if I would do some matinee jackets for her niece, she`s only young and has just moved back with her mum, so that will keep me occupied for a while, along with the wooligans stuff.

Afternoon all,
Well I did some painting and deceided to offer to mix the cement, I'm a dab hand at it after doing DD2's patio. I mixed 12 bags of sand with 4 bags of cement, DH had the hardest job ...... spreading it level  at least the floor in the utility room is level, but sad to have to cover the flagstones.
Not much gardening done, as my back can't take much more. Have used the gammon hock stock to make lentil and onion soup, waiting till it's cool then will blitz it and freeze. Camembert cooking in the oven with jacket pots to go with HM burgers and salad. Will have dinner on the patio as it's so hot.
Right of to get showered, covered in cement dust, and will lounge in the garden with a glass (or 10) of G&T. Hope you are all enjoying the w/end.
((((((HUGS to all ))))))))))0 -

We sold ours, York Stone ones and got a decent sum of money.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Well, I have done my stint in prison for today. Unfortunately I have a very stiff neck and can't move my head left, so I was up on the belt - there was no way I could have done any picking
I think I will go and have a nap and hope it eases up a bit.We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Blairweech - was going to do the Argyle car boot, but just found out its not on tomorrow!!! Gutted, cos ive spent the afternoon sorting stuff out to take - but hopefully it will be nice next weekend and we can try then!0

Well narked as I have just been outbid in the last 5 seconds for a dress on e-bay which I have been stalking since it went on - somebody went 50p over my maximum bid - the harpy   I hate it when people do that - I think it's really sneaky and "damned poor show"!!! Been to asda and spent more than we thought we would - all essential stuff though - I mean, toilet roll - c'mon even Gene Hunt objected to having to use a paper!! Mealworm crumble - which the hedgehog (Mr Snuffles) also eats and various bits and bobs. Well annoyed at our neighbour at the back as he was cutting my apple tree, went out (cutting overhanging branches) and told him we are planning to have it pruned in Autum "the correct time" as I told him. Just calmy carries on! Felt like pointing out that the correct procedure is to ask me to cut it and if I don't then to cut it and offer the branches to me - but he's just chucking them in the bin. The branches were mega-laden as well. Rhymes with dental flosser  I said to him "why don't you keep them on and have the fruit" - "oh it's all full of maggots" - actually they're beetles because it's all organic, they aren't full of them and for heaven's sake does cutting a tiny bit of burrowed apple kill you mate (I felt like saying) . Last year I had people at work asking if they could have a second bag! I then proceeded to tell him how it's a "very rare variety"
(1888 Monarch) - mainly because people keep cutting them down I felt like saying - and it would've been planted in WWII as they don't need much sugar to bake. He then started telling me about house prices in the road and how much his house is worth - felt like saying it'd be worth a more matey if it had any kerb appeal....
Prat....I really don't like my neighbours - I remember that lot moving in when I was 10 - first thing they did in the height of spring was cut down a perfectly healthy pear tree in full blooom - Mum was incandescent!! He claimed it was diseased - my bottom. Next door are still quiet - hurrah! right off for a nice vimto!!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
evening all
had a nice quite day here (but now mega missing my boys) had my hair done and could have fallen asleep waiting for the colour to take, im so not used to sitting still for so long doing nothing but it looks very very good, ive had alot of brown out through with some strands of red, i had around 5 inchs of my natural colour and the rest was an offish/faded red and well just loked awful, i feel like a new person though not sure i will find time or be bothered to straighten it everyday.
going to get on with bits and pieces now and into tomorrow, the boys are back around 3ish so need to keep myself busy between now and thenDFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010
