Morning
Another lovely day here, so we are off to the allotment in a while. We have the police coming down regarding the break-ins, but don't think they can do anything. We are going to ask about putting an alarm on the gate to scare burglars off. What is the World coming to when even your allotment isn't safe
Feeling very pleased with myself as I capped our gas and electric last week. We are currently with Briitish Gas for both, and I changed to Scottish Power, the cost stays the same, but it is capped until 31st August 2009. Just got to educate DH into turning things off and not leaving them on standby
Not sure what's for lunch, but will be having an Indian takeaway later whilst watching Last Choir Standing
Have a great day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning all. No kids for me last night as they stayed with their Aunt and Uncle. Went out for my friend's farewell party as he is moving to Holland on Monday. Stayed at my parents' flat and managed to get to sleep around 2am, no idea when everyone else got to sleep. Ddad has just emerged, OH and my cousin still asleep on the sofa so I'm drinking coffee and nursing my excruciating period pain (sorry if too much info).
Can pick the kids up whenever we like to will have a lazy morning, may go shopping as they have better charity shops here. OH just got up from his sofa and is complaining of a headache! Well if he will get THAT drunk!
Regarding energy switching, I switched about a month ago to EON on their fixed until Oct 09 tariff. Very glad I did though hoping changeover will come into effect before price rise as I'm not sure what will happen if they rise prices too, will I get the prices switched as they where a month ago? Hope thst makes sense, I may be a bit drunk still!
Hope everyone has a good day. Off to make OH a coffee now.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

fizzel hows the hair? it should be ok,
We 60`s babes:rolleyes: all used to use bi-carb to get the lacquer out of our back-combed hair, and when we ran out of it sis and I used bath cubes;) worked a treat.
Mind you hair stuff in them days was  the lacquer really was dreadful, it left sticky bits in the hair and was the very devil to get rid of. Hair spray is so much easier now though it washes straight out.
Just read back and this makes me sound so OLD I`m not really, well not unless you are a 20 or 30 something :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning All - actually persuaded myself not to get up at 4.00am when I first woke - nxt thing was the clock said 8.40am! So, a bit late here in the beemuzed household today! Many thanks for all the good wishes yesterday - it certainly doesn't feel 38 years ago! Anyway, we went over to Lavenham and spent a lazy few hours wandering round - absolutely idyllic in the beautiful weather.
Can tell today is set to be just as hot. Not a lot planned today. Small shop as we'll be going away midweek, washing almost up to date. Need to make bread tho'. Supper out at friends tonight, and we're being collected so we can both drink!
managed to cut out material yesterday so ought to get on with some sewing. Still need to identify my summer challenge jobs for today....
Hope you all have a great Saturday, with ((HUGS)) to any who feel lonely, unwell, fed-up or just in need of a hug!Resolution:

Hi all - another quickie because we are going shopping today -I need a new mouse because mine keeps jumping all over the screen and is driving me mad.
(((Hugs))) to all. I still haven't caught up with the news because I've been trying to get some more wedding favours done - the wedding is less than two weeks away and I'm panicking!
I hope every one has a great day and I will try and call in later on.

Morning all
It's boiling here. Woke up about 8 and hauled myself out of bed about 9am. Have loads to do but don't know if I can be bothered.
CHARLIE'SMUM we have a big steal security fence the council recently put up at the allotments. Before this they got broken into a lot.
N9EAV we are with British gas, when I contacted them and told them I was switching, they moved us to a cheaper tariff, worth a go.
PENPIN glad you had a good hols, shame about the hospital.
GINGHAM hope your cat is ok.
HUGS to anyone who needs one this morning.
Off to have a shower and organise myself.
Have a good day all.

horribly hot here already - when will this misery end - I'm serious I hate it when it's too hot
dd(22) turned up just before midnight last night - no real explanation but can she stay for a few days. Judging by the luggage it's going to be a bit longer than that. i know whe's still having trouble with her housemates. It's a housing association house share. She has called the police on a number of occasions as one of the tenants is a drug user but the HA don't seem to care. She is going to the council on monday so maybe she'll get rehoused. I'd ike her to stay here if she's not safe but it's a real trek for her to get to w*rk. I was looking forward o a proper home alone Daddy weekend but it's lovely to have her.
anyhoo - must get on - have a good dayI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
