Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Saturday. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
I got home from work at 9.30 last night after 6 hrs OT, can't complain with the OH looking for work, it will come in handy. Especially with Sept being MOT, tax month. Into the bargain was a request to come in today to finish the job..... Double time, thank you, I will get up early for some of that...
I was looking at changing the electric supplier in light of price rises. Thing is B Gas are the cheapest, but I seem to be on a more expensive tariff. So not sure if I can switch to the same provider?
How people are going to manage will be interesting. I could use less, but then we are going back to the 1900's.
Share bath water? Candles instead of lights? Hang the washing up near the fire? As a nation we will certainly become users of less energy.
Well better get my shirt and tie out and wander in for some extra doh...
Cheers

Morning N9eav, and all to follow, have been hovering and catching up on the knitting thread, I will post the total of hats later I think I've done 16.
Plan to do gardening today as I feel all cooked out after yesterday. Have some painting to do. DH will put some concrete on the laundry room floor its flagstones and slopes. It's an outside building and I want some units that I got from freecycle fitted so I can put all kitchen appliances in, toaster, processer, smoothie maker etc.
Off for a coffee.
SMOKIE, how on earth did I miss reading that Smokelet had a birthday?

Off to a BBQ tonight with some friends, I hope the weather holds, it will be nice to sit and chill out after the week I have had.

Morning everyone,
Ninny has been a bit weary todaybut I managed to get a few things done. All the washing/folding done. Pudding & bread made. Hair washed. DH has been cementing most of the day. I'm off to Mass shortly. I hope to tackle YS tax tomorrow, sew a bit more & mow the yard. Tonight will relax with a glass of red & have an early night.
I suppose I should have re-read yesterday's thread before posting but I can't remember much of it at all.<hugs> to those that need them.
N9eav We are going solar power in the next few months but by the sounds of it, it's a lot cheaper here & of course having more sun also helps.
Will pop back later. Off to shower & get ready to go out. Enjoy your Saturday whatever way you spend it. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Good morning everyone,
Went to bed with a headache and have woken up with it, so not feeling 100% today - but never mind, a few paracetamol will help (i hope!)
Nothing planned for taday at all, which is good - the plan is to sort stuff out and do a car boot sale tomorrow. Will involve us all getting up at 6, but i have no work on Monday, so that can be our Sunday!! I have so much stuff in the loft and my bedroom it really does need getting rid of, and the money will come in handy now ive booked our trip to london. I still need to book the train tickets, im hoping to borrow my friends rail card so need to get that off her so i can get that done.
I don want to make some bread rolls, but apart from that, will be a lazy day here!
I hope everyone is well, i didnt get chance to read yesterday.
Have a great holiday everyone who is off on one!
:hello: Taplady and mrs mix (and all the other husseys!!)

Morning all
OH & the kids are all off to Jamboree in a bit so I will be free from all incumbence for the week:jHURRAH!!!!! Will need to get my clearing head on and then will do a car boot when they get back to help.
The weather looks ok so will finish off the washing and try to clear up the mess they have all left behind.
Hugs to those who need them need to go and chill in the garden whilst OH gets the last bit done he is a leader so it all falls to him and its getting a bit stressfull as he takes it very seriously.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing and hugs to those who need them0 -
N9eav and cas - im with EON, and their fixed/capped tariff was the cheapest and the best one for me, it was no problem at all switching over, done instantly over the internet on their website, so no waiting months for the paperwork to be done. The only disadvantage was i was unable to get any cashback from a click site, but for peace of mind for the next 18 months (and prob huge savings looking at the way its going) is well worth fixing my rate!!0
