I think you need to let dfs decide what kind of dad he wants to be. Much as my mum hated him, she encouraged us to go and visit him. But it was always us visiting him, us sending presents and cards to him but never the other way round. He may decide he wants to continue being a good dad or he may decide he wants to prioritise other people. Thats his choice even if he makes the wrong one!

Try not to bad mouth him to the kids when they are older but be honest as to what happened. The children deserve to know the truth.

No I am crying he is one trying to make me feel guilty and I aint having it ,I am going away and he can do what he likes with dogs

Thanks Shiney, no I try my best not to say anything bad, i have said he's silly, but I've also defended him when my Nana said he was a naughty man & you hate him! to the kids:eek: the older generation are sometimes rather tactless:o

Chilli - not too bad, nice to see Sis & her B/F as they've both been through this her B/F wife cheated all through thier marraige, forgave after she cheated in thier 1st year, only to find out 2 children & 30 years on she'd continued with loads of others, he found out the day after thier daughter's wedding!
Felt crap this morning, though.
DFS has just rung to speak to the kids, I hardly spoke to him, he asked how I was, said ok just cooking thier dinner, he spoke to DS who just said hello I love you daddy & then DD who said I love you daddy had a great day at school I did games! I want you to come home - I heard him say i know you do! then she said bye! He said ok I'll ring wednesday then, I said OK bye! & that was that.
I'm getting so much better at not talking to him

He's making you feel guilyt cos he can't stand the guilt himself. Selfish !!!. He doesn't have to stay. It's your home now!
