It is pathetic someone has said these things sad, broken up or not.
Why in God's name do you put yourself through the mill SFH?
It was just a throwaway comment. Very ill-timed, very thoughtless and best left unsaid but she probably didn't mean any harm by it. Now you've upset yourself over nothing by calling him again....
Edited to add: she was p***ed and emotional. You lot pulled me up last week regarding Gert's comment about her OH saying that women say stuff like that when they're upset. All SFH's friend has done is this albeit tactlessly.0 -
:eek:It is not a throw away comment saying she virtually wanted my husband whilst I was with him and how attractive and she wanted him.Just back into comping past few months to help me get over rubbish in life.... won Hotpoint fridge freezer, soda stream0

In fairness to Chip, you did make it sound like something she said when really drunk and therefore not paying attention.
I know you won't want to hear this SFH but please don't phone him. It causes you pain - lots of pain, You deserve much better then this.
xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
she has said it before in conversation that he was attractive though not so in depth as last night so the drink made her tongue loose and why on earth would I want a friend who has basically said she wants my husband
Anyway thanks for all advice
take care those who need it and bye and thanks for all good advicexxJust back into comping past few months to help me get over rubbish in life.... won Hotpoint fridge freezer, soda stream0 -

SFH
I know you probably feel you're being battered from all sides, both face-to-face and from people on here.
I totally understand how you feel about this comment made by this stupid, thoughtless person who ought to have known better, regardless of how much she'd had to drink.
IMHO she's lucky you didn't rip her head off.
Do try to take Buffy's advice and don't ring him.
It would probably only amuse him if you start to accuse him of having affairs all over the place.
Take care of yourself.

SFH hasn't quite got to the stage I'm at yet, where I no longer ring DFS.
She's working on it & although she is still ringing him from time to time, she has really cut down & is going to try to continue to do so.
The "friend" I agree with you Chip:eek:was extremely tactless, but I feel it was more than a throwaway comment as she had mentioned this several times whilst sober & due to SFH being a much nicer person than her, she chose not to respond

Hi Chip
I was one of those people who said that people say things they don't mean when they're upset. But that was in the context of wives to husbands when they're confronted by infidelity.
With respect, this is just not the same.
This is an old friend of SFH who's also gone through a divorce, who (presumably) knows that SFH's husband has cheated on her, who knows how devasted she is.
What this so-called friend said was thoughtless, insensitive and crass.0
