I know she was only doing her job - it just made me feel like a criminal.

Cheap-n-Cheerful, I was thinking of doing just one day a week at college doing accounting. They do the same course at the evenings so may do that instead.
thats the course i'm starting on tuesday!!

    Hi Kizzy,
Sorry to see you had a bit of a step back. At least you're back on track now - don't feel stupid for being human. You're bound to have days like these and you don't need to justify to anyone how you cope and react, we'll support you and the others anyway!
I agree with basketcase - why does your MIL keep saying 'are you sure'! If it was up to you, it wouldn't have happened in the first place and it's certainly not down to you that all this fallout is happening. He should have thought about that before he dropped his keks!
I also agree with the others - you have to protect your emotional self and have a cast iron wall built around you before the moose hits dry land. He will maybe not be so glad to be with her when she starts calling the shots and he can't come running to you! Remember, relationships are all lust and humping to start! Only when that wears off do the real charcters start appearing and if his tiny brain then lights up and sees what he's lost in you and a family life, you have to be unavailable and untouchable.
I think you should try to build up a regular Friday night social circle so he sees you're not sitting at home thinking about him! Get him to babysit - they're his kids after all. And then, see what the moose thinks about that when she comes home and he's committed to regular babysitting nights!!

Keep strong girls! And if the EuroMillions come my way tomorrow, we can all sod off to the Bahamas and leave all men behind! (Sorry Chip! Unless you want to risk coming?......)

    June x
  • These people have absolutely no right at all to speak to anyone in this manner:mad:

  • Hi SFH, try not to let them upset you, they are not worth your tears!
Not too bad a day today, my brother rang me up, he can't understand DFS, & says I'll probably be happier without him, also DD had a great 1st day at school & loved it & DS was fine once he got there.
Have kept myself busy, had a quick look around the shops on the way back from school, but nothing caught my eye, may go into town tomorrow & see if I can find a nice outfit as going out the next 2 fridays, after this one, so will get DFS to look after the kids when I do. I wish I was going out tomorrow, I really fancy a night out, I haven't been out for not just months but years! last time I went out with a friend was November 2006!! we went to London to see Evita. So am quite excited.

Go kick some !!!! girl ...
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
  • Kizzy,
