  • Kizzy - well done darling! Keep that strength going!! It is hard to hear your kids say that stuff to the DFS but as long as you keep talking to them, they'll learn to understand that it's the DFS's choice.

Gert - I guess for every genuine claim like yours, they see a dozen who are scammers and maybe she was just having a bad day or something. I think you have to be quite hard to do a job like that and she probably isn't too good at hiding it!

SFH - Glad your results came back clear, it would be quite satisfying if he now caught a little rash or something...

Jules - you're still fab...! Glad he sacked the secretary!! Have a good think about the Xmas Day thing, I think you need to confront her but you might find that a whole lot more upsetting (for you!) than you think

Kassey - where are you hun?

Have a good day all! :T
  • Gert - Quick thing about you wanting to do a college course.
Cant remember what you fancied doing (sorry) but I did a NVQ in Early Years education when my daughter was in pre-school. Did it distance learning with local college so no going in for lectures, assessor came to my house and I volunteered at the pre-school a couple of mornings a week. Really enjoyed it, maybe you can find something like that?

All you lovely ladies going through stress keep up the positive mental attitude, you are all fantastic!!! :j
    I will be rich :rotfl:
  • OMFG!! How snobby was she!!! GGGGRRRRRR!!!!
Just had the IS person round, 'oh, well, you seem to have this all orgainsed'!!! Well yes, love!! I'm not effing stupid!!! I have got friends who ahve helped me make decisions with regards to access and who is paying what etc etc and no I'm not trying to scam you. F ME!!!!! STUPID MOOO!!!
F***ING CHECK HIS WARDROBES - theres nothing there!! 'So why has he left now, when he had planned to leave later in September?' Cos he was screwing someone else and I chucked him out. 'So are you filing for divorce' None of your effing business!!!!
Grrrrr!! Annoyed that I've been made to feel like a scammer!! I didn't choose this to happen in my life!!! They had better allow my cliam now or I am royally screwed over!!!!!!

For heavens' sake, GA, calm down.

She has to know the ins and outs of everything as it's her job. There are couples out there who fiddle the system by pretending to live apart but actually live together. It's your taxes and mine that go to benefit these people so it's in our interest to make sure we make it difficult to scam the system. If that means a few extra questions and a little discomfort at the intrusion then so be it....:o
  • I know she was only doing her job - it just made me feel like a criminal.

Cheap-n-Cheerful, I was thinking of doing just one day a week at college doing accounting. They do the same course at the evenings so may do that instead.
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:

Instead of respectfully calling him Ex, maybe it would be an idea to call him (on here and possibly when talking to friends) a name which sums him up (like you have done with moose). This will remind you of what he is really like instead of having him on a pedestal as Mr Wonderful. Sorry, I'm not trying to be sarcastic, or if I am, only about him. How about something like toady or weasel or ferret? Or dog's breath or beergut or cheeseyfeet? Would Smeagal or Gollum suit him? How about Restless Willy? Or Moosegrinder? You could pick on an unsavoury aspect of him to give him a nickname which will also help satisfy your anger. Maybe some of the others have suggestions of a suitable name.

    How about "inchy"...??

His Mum has just rung me too, I've told her I'm not playing happy families anymore, he doesn't want to be with us, so now he's not!
I know she'd love us to be back together & like before, she said are you sure about all this?

It might be worth pointing out to her that it isn't YOU who was "sure about this" in the first place - it was her son. She doesn't seem to have taken that in, does she?
