I think it is likely he would have had the same reaction whenever and however he found out about the affair as I think sooner or later he would realise what was going on.

I am glad that your ex has finally gone and hopefully things will begin to get easier now.

    Kizzy,

I hope the weekend wasn't too bad and you managed to cope ok.

Have any of you thought about renting out a spare room to some hunky young bloke to raise some extra cash. I bet your exs would be seething!

    Hi Kizzy
I know this isn't the idea of the board but I am going through a similar situation. I am giving birth to a 2nd son in about 3 weeks time - I will be having a c-section. My other son is 2yrs 10mths. My husband and I have a ltd co, we are both directors. He works at the business I have my own job - pharma rep. I have just found out at the weekend that he has been having an affair with the secretary of our business!! He intends to try and find himself somewhere to live this week so I'll be on my own. He's said I can keep the house but will need to take on the mortgage, we do have debts, mostly in my name because I have always been the one with the higher income even though the money is for joint purposes. I have a good income and will get 18 weeks at full pay, so that's some benefit, but it will probably rule me out of getting any benefits as when I do work it's 40hrs!
I'm desperately trying to think of ways of decreasing my outgoings in order to keep the roof over our heads - me and the boys! God knows what will happen - I don't want to move because my family and friends are nearby and I have the best neighbours in the world - and obviously trying to sell a house right now would be rubbish! Also staying put at least gives a bit of stability to my son.
I'm trying to do a SOA and budget in between crying and feeling angry and bitter.
I hope it helps to know you're not alone - someone else suggested I read your thread after reading my orginal desperate plea for advice on whether I should sell my endowments to clear the debts!

Don't rush to sell anything that's too personal.

Even when my marriage ended and became a bitter dispute for many years I have kept every thing. Wedding ring, photo album etc. I even photocopied my marriage certificate before I handed it over.
Sad and silly maybe but these are part of my children's past and there may come a time when they ask to see them.

I also have all the divorce papers to prove what a !!!!!! he was at that time.

Sorry to hear your story Julie. i have a pretty grim story of my ex and our limited company-at least yours is still viable I suppose but I would never get involved in another family business, too much grief involved!
Try to keep things in perspective hun-think of some of the awful situations around the world at any given moment and you will see that those of us on this thread are bruised and battered, but living in this country, roof over our heads etc-we are still so privaldged compared to some folk in this world.
At the start of a marriage break down everything seems so bleak but things do settle down-I know as this is second time around for me!:o
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
  • Oh bless Julie, sorry i did read before but I couldn't post anything as my own life is too messed up at the mo....we will all get through this, It may be a long hard struggle but we will do it.
And SuziQ, second time...god works like !!!!! at the moment doesn;t he!!!??
