Hi Kizzy my heart goes out to you hun. Not been following this thread just happened upon it.
I was with my ex for 17 years and 3 children from the age of 15. We went through 100's of ups and downs broke up a few times and HE had affairs. In the end he left me with a 4 month old baby after having an affair with his best mates wife whilst I was 5 months gone. She chose her husband who was loaded!!!
Best thing girl is to act like you have got your head round it and are sorted.
I know you don't want to believe it but in my experience once a cheater always a cheater. If they don't have the morals once they just don't have them. Not nice I know but and I know, I've been there and you'd probably forgive him anything, but, DOES HE REALLY DESERVE YOU?
Believe in yourself you are something very special and no-one takes that away unless you give them permission to either by word or action.
Stay strong. I didn't think I would ever find anyone again who would love me turned out I had em fighting to.LOL
Truth is there is more than one person out there for you. Find the best one.
    Good luck big, huge, hugs

  • Hi he left ages ago, I took the kids out, that's why I haven't been on.
He fixed the bike then DD said can we go on a bike ride, which as in a built up area, means a small drive, so I said yes I'll take you this afternoon, so he put the bikes in the car for me, I think he thought I'd invite him along, I didn't!
He said when are you going, I said we're waiting for you to go, so he said I'll go now then, I said OK & off he went. He said what about tomorrow ( kite festival ) I said No, he said Ok I'll ring you tomorrow about another day, I just said if you want & that was that.
Took the kids out on thier bikes & to the park, saw a friend down there & had a chat, she can't believe it, always thought he was a nice bloke!! Well so did I!
Anyway, feeling OK & unlike Gert & SFH, I'm going to get this divorce through ASAP, no messing anymore

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Brilliant Kizzy! You've put the barriers up and now he who will see who is the one in control.

You are such an amazingly strong person and I just have so much admiration for you.

I'm glad you are in determined mode. You'll get stronger with every day that passes. Hold your head up high, you've done nothing wrong.
