  • Hi Guys, been following this thread for a while. I feel absolutely gutted about what you are all going through and I wanted to let you know my fingers and toes are crossed for you all to get the outcome you want, and to have the strength to deal with all the turmoil.

I went through something similar a few years ago, and through the abject misery all I could do to make me feel better was to count my blessings for what I did have, not what I didn't. It sounds silly but it was stuff like:

    1. Got my kids (despite all their teenage angst and problems, their love is unconditional and always will be.)
    2. Got my 3 dogs who I will always love and adore.

    3. Got my health, despite all my bad habits.

    4. Got my looks. ( sad I know!)

    5. Got my books ( can while away time, thinking of nothing else )

    6. Got my sense of humour ( I can always laugh at myself and other things)

I wish I had had some friends to talk to, but don't really have any, and also am not the sort of person that spills their heart out..... And the ones that I have are all family, (his family) so it wasn't appropriate.

The light at the end of the tunnel only came when I pretended I didn't care any more, didn't ring, text or nothing. I told him if he wanted out, to make a decision and stay out, that he was a selfish so and so, and I wouldn't put up with him trying to blame me for god damn everything.

He did come back and we are still together, which I am truly glad about. But that feeling of helplessness and desertion, is always there, I would never want to go through that again, but if I do, I hope I can be half the women most of you girls are, and use strength and wisdom to get through it.

My thoughts are with you, and with those fools who don't realise how important it is to have a loving family unit, and how unlike them, we put up with all their idiosyncrises, cos we love em, unconditionally......

    Take it Easy Guys

SFH what did you say? I hope it shocks her and she knows what she is getting into, though if you ask me any woman who goes with a married man or anyone in a relationship reeps what they sow.

    Hope everyone is ok! xxx

Yes, SFH!! What did you say to her voicemail?!?! Am contemplating doing something similar - he's gone out tonight with his boss, but am not so sure thats where he has gone!! He hasn't been texting loads and most conversations he has had via phone, have been whilst I'm in the same room or in earshot - don't know if he is doing that intentionally (don't think he's really that clever!!) I really don't care though which for me is a big turning point!! I look good and I feel good!! And by george Gok Wan is going turn me into what I should and could be - a strong, BEAUTIFUL, independant woman!!
Not to sure if its being filmed or whatever - the show I won it on is the breakfast show so the presenter prob won't get my email until the morning with all my millions of questions!! Really looking forward to it and even he seemed suitable impressed!!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:

We discussed money and stuff today cos he had left his dirty work shirt on the kitchen floor and I told him I wasn't doing his washing for me - because that consitutes a 'relationship' according to Child Tax credits and all.
So he said he'll pay me - so I replied okay £20 per WEEK and I'll wash and iron your clothes!! hehe!! Money maker me or what - and thats on top of whatever else I ask for for the kids!!

  • Hi everyone...

SFH - It was easy for me to say don't do anything you regret etc coz I'm not in the situation but for what its worth I probably would have rung her too whether its the right thing to do or not. I hope you get the response you want from her.

Gert - Well done on the hairstyle change and didn't that prize come at just the right time. Glad you are feeling stronger today.

Kizzy - Sat here with butterflies for you. Fingers are crossed for everything to work out right for you. Looking forward to your update.

    Take care all
