Does anyone know cheap parking near the ferry at Portsmouth. Going on a mini cruise and NCP is a bit pricey for 4 days.

    Thanks

    Hi Spikey
Try BCP and use the code for 15% off mentioned HERE as it seems cheaper to me than those two other sites you posted and holidayextras.

There's one for only £20 , although Premier , the one I use , is just over £30 , but you've only got until 31st October to get the 15% off

When I say £20 , I got a quote for a weeks stay at the end of November
Same old same old since 2008

  • Useful for a short business trip.

Drive to Hatton Cross Underground station. A word of advice right here - try this first when you are not in a hurry because finding the entrance to the station car park is not easy. The parking ticket inspectors accept up to 4 consecutively numbered day tickets as valid for 4 days. In March 2005 the cost was £4 per day, it may be £5 by now.

A tube train to terminal 4 is 3 minutes, T123 7 minutes. it is quicker than many on-airport parks and you are straight out to the A4/A30.

Thanks Sheel, knew I could count on you...

Would it be cheaper to hire a Airport transfer firm... taking into consideration fuel, wear and tear on car plus car park charges? if so, do you or any other MSe member know of any cheap firms?

How much does it cost to join?

Spikey it costs nothing to join the tesco clubcard but as you are travelling soon it is to late to start collecting points from tescos now. If you normaly shop at tesco and collect points which I do and then use them to pay for parking it has just cost me £18.75 in vouchers for 15 nights parking at Heathrow next March
  • Cheap airport parking: next week we are catching an early flight from Gatwick by driving to a nearby B&B (£35 for two) the evening before, leaving our car there for a week for £15 and being driven free to the airport, and collected free when we return. I chose the cheapest from this list:

    http://www.gatwick-guesthouses.co.uk/

It may be fairly basic, but it compares favourably with a train journey costing over £70 for two and no parking costs, not to mention the stress of catching very early trains that might let us down.
