DON'T EVER USE A.D.S. AT GATWICK!

I parked with them a few months ago, left the correct change for the Severn bridge toll in the ash tray and when I returned and got to the bridge £3 of the £4.80 had gone (whoever took it obviously thought it was a random sum). The company didnt want to know and said that their t&cs meant that they couldnt be responsible for anything that happened to the car while they were "looking after" (ha!) it.

The only downside is that unlike most Airport Hotels, the hotels around Heathrow now have to charge to shuttle guests to the terminals as BAA see it as a nice little earner and will not permit the shuttle buses on to the airport unless they stump up. So you need to factor in an each way fare for each passenger in to your other costs. I think the shuttle bus is £3 per person per journey!! So for 4 of you that will add £24 to your total costs.

You're right of course but still a bargain when the cheapest parking-only I could find was £99 (miles from the airport) and this includes a night in a hotel.
The stress of driving the day of the flight is too much for me and this is well worth it!
  • Hi All - I'm new to this chat forum thing, but finally registered after seeing this thread!

Whenever I've parked at Manchester airport I've left my car at clough bank farm. They've now gone upmarket and got a website (hope that hasn't pushed the prices up) http://www.cloughbankcarstorage.co.uk.

They are basically a farm near the runway by providing parking and mini-bus transfers (they leave as soon as you are ready and you just call them once you have your luggage and they come and pick you up!).

A couple of weeks ago I parked at Regent Lodge Hotel - it's nothing special but parking for a week, transfers, a nights accommodation and full english for two was £80, not bad considering we were landing quite late and parking alone was around £60 - sometimes lifesaving has to come before money saving and I figured driving home late after a long flight wasn't a good idea!

    Hope that's of some use!

For Manchester airport I have found males garage to be 100% reliable & efficient.

Take your car to their offices 1/4 mile away from the airport, their driver chauffers you in, car gets taken away to secure parking, upon arrival phone them from arrivals, your car reappears, drop off their driver at the offices and away you go.

I must stress that they are not the cheapest option but for 100 % service I am prepared to pay a little bit more (as Sheel also said).

  • Global Parking at Manchester £30 for 8 days.

Price isn't everthing with Airport Parking. Confidence that your car is secure and looked after if just as important. With Global you get both cheap parking and excellant service.

Indoor Parking, New Vehicle to transfer you to the airport (complete with child seats if you need them). Well presented friendly staff, they were waiting when I got through Customs, no long wait for the transfer back. I won't park anywhere else now.

I have used Cophall Farm Parking which has consistently been the cheapest at GATWICK (apart from some occasional 'special offers' which may be a few £'s cheaper). They are off site and will transport you on demand to the terminals in about 15 minutes. Call a freephone number on return for return transport at anytime.
You can book through any of the search engines using AMEX thus getting your credit card moneyback - booking direct makes no difference; their number is 01342 712 779.
