  • For Stansted use Bishop's Stortford Football Club. Go to https://www.bsfc.co.uk and click on Parking down the right hand side. Cheaper and better than Pink Elephant - but then so is anything!
  • We're going from Stanstead Feb 06 early morning.Cheapest place i could find was a b&b. Got it for £90.00 for 2 adults and 2 kids.Price includes car parking, airport transfers and pick ups. Some have suggested leaving the car in a quiet residential area with no parking restrictions. Thought this is a bit dodgy and would probably end up picking it up from the local police compound on return!! If anyone knows of a cheaper option it would be most appreciated. We really do need a good kip the night before so driving through the night isn't an option.
    Titch :)
  • I use https://www.airparks.co.uk £19 for 3 days in Feb 06 to park at East Midlands Airport.
£75 for 25 days at LHR next year.

Try Central Car Storage (https://www.centralcarstorage.co.uk) in Kimpton Road, they can even provided a valet service on your car for about £10!

Otherwise Airparks is okay unless you happen to land at same time as a charter flight who have all booked at the same place. It may no be possible to get on the shuttle bus!

Sorry about that. I got two sites mixed up. The correct URL should be:

    www.infotel.co.uk/82725

Sorry, do not agree and would not recommend BSFC parking. Transfer to airport was OK, but on return we had to wait a long time for the minibus to turn up. When it did arrive, the driver was rude and I was less than impressed with his driving. Not the best end to our holiday. Will stick with Pink Elephant in future.
  • just used holiday inn express at east midlands airport. booked online for a overnight stay including breakfast and 15 days parking for under £59.
free transfers to airport both ways which takes 3 minutes. excellent rooms and food.
have also booked online, parking express advance at gatwick south terminal, on airport, for november. 9 days for £36.50. this must be booked at least 30 days before travel and cannot be amended.

It could be cheaper to go to the airport by taxi - it definately was for me (and a lot less bother too!)

If they cover your area it's worth looking at https://www.airportbytaxi.com - you click on your nearest town, and they give you an instant quote for how much it'll cost from real minicab firms that have submitted their example fares.

Next week I shall be mostly paying £26.95 at Liverpool for four days, booked via their own airport website. Not so bad when I got stung at Manchester the other week for £47 for Sat/Sun!! Aaargh! We were in such a rush to catch our flight (to a mate's wedding in Scotland) we parked on short stay! What an eejit!

I always use BCP or Pink Elephant at Manchester - but book via the travel agents at the same time as holiday booking, as they will knock extra £££'s off if you ask nicely :)

Most I've ever paid was about £70 for 2 weeks. Still cheaper than a couple of taxi's either way. Only dodgy experience once was to find on return from hols very early in the morning that the handbrake was off my car on the car park...(Premair I think..?) when I queried this, this seems to be the norm, so it doesn't 'seize up'....er ok but it was parked on land as flat as a pancake, but there you go...?

There are cheaper out of town (although they say 15 mins drive don't bank on it) car parks for Mcr Airport - one is all the way down in Carrington (if you've been on that section of the M60 any time in the last 2 years then you couldn't get to the airport in double that time, never mind!)
And the other one is behind the Civic Centre in Wythenshawe...er, no you're alright thanks, I don't want my 'car minding'...lol! I'm quite happy knowing my motor is going to be at the airport when I get back!
