Just thought I'd add my pennies-worth. have just spoken to customer services in EDF to find out actual prices after the rises...I am Norweb region, and it would mean a rise of 35% on my yearly bill..nothing like their quoted rises
    EDF have done it again!!

Here is what I've been given for Online V5 tariff
    Gas
First rate 5.418p (for first 2679 units per year, 7.34 per day)
    2nd rate 3.209p
    These include VAT at 5%

    Electricity
First rate 12.306p (for first 225 per quarter, 900 per year)
    2nd rate 8.1375p

Anyone else any thoughts? Think I will be looking for a fixed rate, or at least voting with my feet when all the other companies have announced their rises.
  • Same here piggly, we owe EDF about 150 quid and I am going to pay that off next month and then as soon as the other companies have done their worst I shall be moving my business elsewhere! (assuming the others aren' t even worse!!)

Funny how EDF released this news on the same day as an "Epic Event" (as it is known in PR circles), i.e. the Glasgow East election result ;)

I can just imagine little bro' Andy asking big brother Gordon what day would be a good one to release bad news re: EDF prices.....it stinks , we are being ripped off - what can we do about it?
