Afternoon all, could I join this challenge please.
I start work on 1st September and need to get my house in order, and back into the flying routine, so that work will not be too much of a shock to the system:rotfl: .
I did make a start yesterday and did six and half hours worth of ironing:eek: .
It was all in the master bedroom , so now that I can see the floor:rotfl: , am off to spruce up the rest of the room.
I'm also hoping that by decluttering and cleaning I can restart my mad ebay challenge as the catalytic convertor 'went' on the car on Monday and cost £195, so need to recoup this money somehow in order to eat for the rest of the month:rotfl: .
Wish me luck off I go, if I haven't reported back in by midnight will someone send out the dogs to find me please:D .:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

hi all
loving this challenge already
right - the wardrobe and toys are gone - woohoo - the trampoline is being collected immanently and no idea about the shredder as ive heard bu**er all form the woman who wanted it - oh well, may jsut go through the paperwork tonight - shred what i dont need then relist it again if ive still heard nothing.
Would make plans for tomorrow but realistically its my day of chilling - i get up at 6am with both boys (step son here weekends) and then when bf crawls from his pit at 10am i got back to bed for 2 hours (why shouldnt i get a lay in on a sunday?) and then get up at 12, do lunches, he takes boys out so i actually get 2 hours to myself a week and then 3pm - 10pm im at work. Oh the joy!
So my tasks for monday i think will be- to get Mr T shop finally done.
- sort paperwork if not done already
- if paperwork has been done already - ill meal plan with freezer contents (granted not a big freezer but there s a fair odd shaped bits wedged in there!!)
- declutter living room as 80% of my day is spent in here so can take my time with it!
Time to find me again0 -
I need to do this challenge, but for me, it'll be before I go back to uni, so late Sept/early Oct, if this is ok?0

Great to see more people joining in - well done everyone!
Suddenly realised that I didn't need to do a big shop at all this week - enough in fridge/freezer to see us through until we go away. So, menu-planning was easy! Did about 3/4 hour ironing - the mountain is once more contained within the basket, but of course unless I keep at it it'll soon overflow once more. My aim is to clear it by Monday evening in shortish bursts.
Have tacked my sewing together, and that should be a project completed by tomorrow evening I hope. Also tidied a toppling pile of CDs before disaster could strike. Need to work on a job for DH this afternoon and we're out to supper tonight, so realistically I'm not going to get too much more done for this today. Need to take dogs out, but too hot just yet!
See you all soon!Resolution:

Right, back from the bedroom, that is looking rather fab:j , and 7 items reading to upload on turbo lister. Have got loads more in my box to list but have run out of enthusiasm at the moment. After all Rome wasn't built in a day:D .:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

Yet another glorious day here... this morning I need to do yet more ironing, sort out the towel cupboard (some real horrors lurking there which ought to join the rag box!) and I'm going to tackle just one shelf in the pantry. Hopefully that shouldn't take more than a couple of hours all told - then into the garden for some "me" time....Resolution:

I'm hoping to use the days between now and Sepember 1st to achieve my lifelong ambition of becoming finally organised.....
Anyway - anyone want to join me for a six week makeover challenge?
Anyway, at home we're trying really hard to rationalise EVERYTHING. That's from the roof space down to the end of the garden. Our shared summer holiday is when we plan to get this done. (Not if I spend forever on the computer of course.) Good luck with your project, and wish me luck with mine.

Topher - great to see you! Wishing you all the luck in the world! Trouble is these things always seem to take about two weeks longer than the time available, don't you agree?
Whatever, I'm determined that this summer I will be able to look back and realise that I have done something worthwhile to get organised every day.Resolution:

So far so good, but I know what you mean about taking longer than you thought. We've had a good first week,
.Emptied loft space (ready for insulating and boarding. (So of course we have the lovely empty spare room so full of boxes you can't close the door, (or find guests))
.Got rid of three cupboards, three drawers, and three wall cupboards in the kitchen. (Forced to downsize kitchen contents, like useful takeaway containers collection.) Scary amount of stuff to rehome or charity shop.
. sorted all my next term's planning folders into a box ready for the task of planning 9moan moan, I HATE planning)
.painted half the shed, dug up some lawn for new bed, put in plants and moved trees and hacked back shrubs. Harvested blackcurrants.
. Sorted linen cupboard (another charity shop trip) rolled all towels, and divided bedding into King sized, singles, and pillow cases, and put them in sets ready to use. (Don't even ask why a bulk buy of weetabix was in there)
.re sealed the bath and shower after stripping mouldy stuff off. (Cleaned shower head, and re trimmed shower door).
.Put in new toilet seat after kitchen worktop fell on the old (fairly new actually)one and broke it in half. (Simply coincidence that my daughter was in the bathroom when it happened!)
. Taking down curtains and washing, ironing and rehanging (shrunk the dry clean only bedroom curtains, two windows worth... well you don't take any notice of dry clean labels do you?
. All the usual washing, washing up, dusting vacuuming, dog walking, window cleaning, bedding rota, bins rota, shopping and cooking to do meanwhile.
Next. Mow lawn, dig up potatoes, move lean-to green house after tomatoes finish, shift shed, buy & put up a coal bunker, fill with coal, make newspaper bricks for winter, stack log pile, book holiday, transfer and cap fuel, re pack loft after insulation done, have roofer in for ridge tiles and sofit & facia boards, and down pipes re routing, buy water tubs to put on end of down pipes, paint side fence now hubby has mended it. Buy kitchen flooring(Interested in those POUNDLAND tiles) buy bathroom flooring, paint kitchen, paint stairs & landing take up stair carpet, have 1930s carpet cleaned,
Yes, we teachers get lovely long holidays. (Thank goodness)
